Toomaj Salehi ... It’s been more than 5 months (152 days) of the Iranian rapper spending time in prison, in solitary confinement.

This is Toomaj, A short introduction:

Iran authorities have been creating a huge pile of so-called evidence against Toomaj and they can easily execute him with no objection. But on the other hand, they are afraid to do so.

That is how this man's courage and Charisma have made him invisible and beloved by so many.

I admit the first time I heard Toomaj's songs, I didn’t find them something to write home about, maybe because I’m not a fan of rap.

Either way, what makes this man a big deal is not just his voice or his talent, it is his unique way of fighting shoulder to shoulder with revolutionaries. One of his last works was particularly aggressive and that made the regime very angry & that is why he is still being confined even though, all he did was sing a song!

I was thinking, it is not an everyday event that you see the way that legends & heroes of your country rise & create history. Because whether he lives or dies, whether he gets released, gets to survive and this movement succeeds or otherwise, he would always be Toomaj Salehi (Toomaj means a ray of light), a rap artist who cracked the wall of fear with his song, while knowing the harsh consequences that await him …
