You still don't understand the hype around DeFi and Farming?... Let me tell a story
The story is about a young boy. Let's name him Máximo. Máximo is an 18-year old boy who works in a boringly normal kitchen of a fast-food restaurant.
Máximo's family emigrated from Mexico to the USA in the early 1990s. They had lived in a cosy house in Arizona until suddenly, Máximo's father died of lung cancer in 2018. He smoked cigarettes and anything else since he was 14. Máximo and his family were forced to move to relatives living in New York.
There, Máximo graduated from school after two years and works as a dishwasher in the kitchen. He is unable to continue with higher educations because the family suffers financially.

Máximo washes dishes in the kitchen eight hours a day, six days a week.
A typical week of Máximo looks exhausting: He has to work eight hours a day, six days. A majority of the salary he receives must be returned to his family, to afford a minimum living.
When Máximo isn't in the kitchen, he is certainly in his small room laying on his bed. Staring at the phone screen and scrolling through the Facebook feed.
His routine of work and smartphone addiction is repeating week by week.

Someday, Máximo found an advertisement that promises more than 15% annual interest on USD. He skipped it with the thought that it would be a scam anyway. Nevertheless, after a few scrolls on his feed, he received a similar advertisement that promises again more than 15% annual interest on money. Unlike the previous one, this has been advertised by a famous Hispanic personality from his origin Mexico.
Máximo clicked on the advertisement and reads the article written in his mother tongue Spanish. When he finished reading this article, he views a video that has been embedded at the end of the article.
When the video is over, his first word that came to his mind is "Wow!". "When that guy earned 28.7% annual interest on his hard-earned savings, then I can do the same", thinks Máximo.
He immediately turned on his laptop and is searching for "DeFi Farming", "Yield Farming", "Liquidity Farming" etc. He clicks on the first article that appeared in the search.

After reading a few more articles about "DeFi Farming" and watching plenty of videos, Máximo is simply impressed. He is impressed by the idea that he could earn 15%, 25% or even more than 50% interest yearly on coins for holding.
To join the DeFi economy of yield farming, Máximo decides for Harvest.finance. They offer generous interests and it's simple to use. The next day, Máximo decides to visit one of the autonomous farms in New York which is the first place if someone wants to participate in the DeFi economy. But firstly, he needs to find the cash which he has gotten from his grandma before she died ten years ago

In New York, you can find a couple of Farms where you can exchange your cash
These autonomous farms are, as its name suggests, corporations which work autonomously using a complex set of algorithms without any human control. There, anyone can exchange money to tokens from the Harvest Finance Economy.
When Máximo entered one of the Farm, an Artificial intelligent robot greets him and asks to come to the counter.

At the counter, Máximo exchanges his $1700 USD which he has gotten from his grandma. The AI robot takes the cash and exchanges it into fUSDT and sends to Máximo's mobile wallet.
fUSDT is one of the tokens within the Harvest Finance Economy which can be used later to invest. The exchange ratio is 1:1 with the corresponding currency/token.
Now, that Máximo received 1700 fUSDT in return, he can proceed to step two: Stake that fUSDT and earn interest on that token.
To do so, he goes to the Stake Center of Harvest Finance in the heart of New York.

Arrived at the Stake Center, he will be greeted again by an Artificial intelligence robot. Unlike Farms, the Stake Center leaves definitely a better, professional look for Máximo who feels comfy here. "If Harvest.Finance would offer private lounges, I'm certainly sure I will stay one of the cosy couch and see how my balance is growing", thought Máximo when the robot asks him how much he is willing to invest.

Stake Center - the (luxury) place of farm stakeholders
"$1700 fUSDT", says Máximo. "Understood, sir. With your deposit, your stake balance amounts to $1700 fUSDT. From now, you will be receiving interests on top of your balance. And, if you want to release the amount - you can do it anytime. Finally, you can access our modern Harvest.finance platform via the World Wide Web. Have a nice day, sir!".
"What a magnificent service!", thinks Máximo. He leaves the Stake Center and can see how his balance grows slowly but steadily day by day.
As time goes by, Máximo is forgetting that he invested at Harvest. 11 months have been passed since Máximo's investment and Máximo is scrolling again through Facebook. When an advertisement popped up saying Harvest finance offers 40% APY, this reminded him that he has an active investment. He quickly opened the web browser on his laptop, authorized using Metamask and couldn't believe for a minute.... .
$4754.23 fUSDT have been accumulated so far... and now $4754.24.

The vibe is definitely at Máximo
Máximos first thought that dropped in his mind is "Let's put more eggs into that basket". The next day, he went again to one of the Farms, exchanged his accumulated salary from his work in the restaurant. After that, he went to the 14th floor in the Stake Center where he puts some more fUSDT into the stake balance.
Months by months, he repeats the cycle of investing in Harvest and enjoys already a luxury life. Small gifts for my mother, siblings or even a meal from the Mexican fast-food restaurant where Máximo lives.
All these small indulgences serve Máximo a healthy lifestyle he couldn't afford before. Máximo still works as a dishwasher but he plans to quit the job when he got enough savings in his Harvest account.
Three years passed, and unfortunately, Máximo got kicked by his mother from the flat. "They simply don't believe in me and what I am doing", says Máximo to his girlfriend that he met in the Stake Center's privates lounge a half year ago, "Luckily, I got something nicer for us both."
