Have you ever wondered what the guys behind Publish0x are looking at? I myself would be interested in the stats on how long people stay on pages and actually read content, and how many just tip the max to themselves and move on.
Writing is not something I use for income, I would be in real trouble if I did, so I am not too worried about the how much an article makes (other than a post that only makes .06 kinda hurts my ego.) My general thought for writers in this site is a ranking system that accounts for many factors, like followers, writing earnings and also, how much time is spent reading articles thoroughly.
A short antidote, when I first came on this site. There was a writer that had a few thousand followers and I read a post by him that ended with him asking you to follow him on Publish0x and a list of other sites. I noticed that even though he had thousands of followers, he did not follow anyone himself. I asked him why he didn't follow anyone and he replied that there was no one worth following on Publish0x, or he would. This was probably the only time I was ever angry at a comment on the site. This might be why I have always wondered about some of the stats we don't see.
It's Thanksgiving morning here in the states and I am just waiting on my family to wake up. I was also thinking that in the few minutes I have, I come here instead of any other social site, this has been my favorite for some time. Just wondering about a few things.
If you are celebrating, have a great holiday.
