Sort of like another post of mine. Songs that are played at Christmas, that are not traditional type holiday songs. Also, I going talk about really random music stuff that only I care about.
1. River by Joni Mitchell. Believe it or not, my favorite version of this song is by Robert Downey Jr when he was on the TV show Ally McBeal.
2. A Winter's Tale by RB Morris. Best version is by Bruce Robison, a singer/songwriter out of Texas.
3. Fairytale of New York by The Pogues. I live in the states, so I do not get to hear this song unless I play it myself, but I have heard it is huge in the UK.
4. Baby It's Cold Out by Buster Poindexter and Sigourney Weaver. This is a popular song, but, this version that was on Saturday Night Live made me a fan of David Johansen (Poindexter) of the New York Dolls. Interesting, I have not been able to find a clip of this song anywhere. It has simply disappeared from pop culture.
Honorable Mention: "Same Old Lang Syne" by Dan Fogelberg.
Short post, I know, but if you are one of the few people that read non-crypto posts here, please comment below on your favorite holiday songs and maybe why.
