Nifty 50
Today's Nifty 50 session turned bearish, with the index closing at 24219.05, down 32.95 points (-0.14%) from previous close of 24252. Nifty opened at 24285.05 and initially moved above 24300, but the rally failed and sellers gradually took control from around 11:00 onward. The most important technical observation is that the index lost the 24250 level and remained below it for most of the second half, indicating weakening short-term momentum.
The intraday low was 24144.30, and although Nifty recovered slightly towar the close, the recovery was not strong enough to reclaim 24250. Market breadth was also slightly negative, with 26 stocks declining against 23 advancing, confirming that the sessionlacked strong bullish participation. 24250-24300 is now the immediate resistance zone, and Nifty needs to reclaim 24300 with strength before i would consider the bullish structure restored.
One the downside, 24140-24150 is the immediate support, and the decisive break below this area could accelarate selling toward 24050-24000. For options, the chart currently gives a slight PE/Short bias, but i would not buy PE blindly around 24200 because the index is still above the 24140 support. A confirmed breakdown below 24140-24150 would provide the stronger PE trigger, whereas a recovery above 24300 would invalidate the immediate bearishview and bring CE back into consideration.
Overall, my bias is Short/PE below 24150, neutral between 24150-24300 and Long/CE only after a sustained breakout above 24300, making the downside setup slightly more favorable at present.
