Nifty 50
Today's Nifty 50 session was mildly bearish, with the index at 24055.80, down 24.60 points (-0.10%) from the previous close of 24080.40. Nifty opened at 24077.55 and initially moved lower before recovering and briefly pushing above 24100 during the late morning session. The index made an intraday high of 24143.15, but failed to sustain those higher levels, indicating selling pressure around 24120-24150. The second half of the session was notably weaker, with Nifty failing towards an intraday low of 23952.55, showing that sellers gained control after midday.
Market breadth remained negative at 20 advances versus 30 declines, confirming that the weakness was relatively broad-based. The most important immediate support is now 23950-24000, and holding this zone is crucial for preventing another leg lower. If 23950 breaks decisively, the next downside levels to watch are approximately 23900 and 23800. On the upside, Nifty needs to reclaim 24100-24150, and preferably break 24150 with strength, before a convincing CE setup develops.
For Option, PE currently has a slight advantage over CE, but i would avoid chasing PE while Nifty is sitting close to the 23950-24000 support zone.
Overall bias: Bearish/range-bound, with PE on a confirmed break below 23950, while a sustained move above 24150 would shift the bias back toward CE.
