Nifty 50
Today's Nifty 50 session closed at 24154.90, down 132.75(-0.55%), showing clear selling pressure during the day. The index opened at 24223.85 and made a intraday high of only 24269.65, failing to establish any meaningful bullish momentum. More importantly, Nifty finished exactly at its intraday low of 24154.90, Which is a bearish closing structure and suggests seller remained active at the close. Market breadth was strongly negative, with 40 stocks declining against only 10 advancing, confirming broad-based weakness.
The immediate resistance zone is around 24200-24700, and nifty needs to reclaim this area convincingly before a bullish reversal can be trusted. On the downside, 24150 is the the first critical level, and a decisive break below it can open the way toward 24000, followed by the 23800 zone. The broader chart structure still has an underlying rising trendline, so 24000-23800 is an important support area where buyers could attempt a reversal. For options, the current setup has a PE bias rather than a CE bias, but buying PE immediately after a sharp decline carries the risk of entering at the low.
A better bearish setup would be a confirmed break below 24150 followed by weak retest, while a move back above 24270-24300 would weaken the PE setup and make CE more attractive.
Overall view: SHORT/BEARISH below 24150, neutral between 24150-24270; bullish only after sustained recovery above 24300, so based strictly on this image, i would currently give PE the higher probablity direction, but only with breakdown confirmation.
