Thoughts About Hollywood

I've never been a fan of the Hollywood Propaganda machine.

I mean, with the amount of money (AKA: Political Power) that Hollywood wields to forcibly and shamelessly push their own agenda, it always surprises me when they actually do something I agree with.

Granted, I do admire the way Hollywood has never backed down from a fight (e.g., the communist witch trials led by McCarthy and the continual war with homo-phobic, hate groups).

But as a retired military man, it always struck me as quite odd that the release of war movies always coincided with current (or soon-to-be) military skirmishes around the globe.

And whenever the military was short on hard to recruit specialists, movies like "Top Gun" or "Navy Seals" would miraculously materialize.

Nevertheless, I was delighted to hear about Zoe Saldana's Star on the Hollywood "Walk of Fame".

Three of My Favorite Contemporary African-American Actresses

The first of my favorite African-American actresses (meaning: Prime "Spank Bank" Hall of Fame material was Halle Barry.

Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy Halle's dramatic acting, but let's face it, Halle is hot!

In November 2003, she was named #1 in FHM's "100 Sexiest Women in the World" Poll (IMHO, brilliant judges, no?).
