Clarifying Content and Context

There's an old adage:

"Unless you want to be immediately ostracized by your fellow pub patrons, don't talk about religion, politics or sex in public. Those subjects are universally considered taboo."

When I lived and worked in the United States, that statement was spot on. It was ridiculously common for someone's reputation, job or personal relationships to suffer irreparable damage from the smallest remark made in jest.

But now I am retired and living in Asia; where the opposite is true.

The public atmosphere here is far more open-minded, much more tolerant of differing and opposing viewpoints, and far less litigious. The end result is the absence of any Western style restrictions on what is acceptable - or not acceptable - topics for public banter.

In short, Ex-Pats in Asia enjoy an environment where it's "open season year 'round" and any subject is fair game for public discussion.

Seriously.

Nothing is considered taboo.

In fact, I can't remember the last time I had a beer with my friends and a "taboo" subject - in the Western context - was not brought up.

Likewise, most crypto afficionados online are fortunate to be free from the shackles of a close-minded culture.

On the contrary, the global internet community is free speech incarnate, no? And collectively, we share a worldwide, supportive group that generally possesses an open-minded outlook. We not only recognize diversity, but celebrate it too.

It is in this nonjudgmental, nonpartisan spirit that I submit this article.

Religiocoin?

Nabal or Not?

"Nabal" is the Hebrew word for "foolish" or "senseless".

"Let me state this right now: I harbor not one iota of anti-semitic tendencies. And although I consider myself a spiritual person, my personal philosophical beliefs are more aligned with Buddhism than any other of the world's religions." - JaiChai

Years ago, there was the ICO of Bitcoen. That's not a typo.

Bitcoen had been dubbed "the first Kosher cryptocurrency". It is the creation of a Russian entrepreneur named Viacheslav Semenchuk.

(I could easily take pock shots at that last name, but I won't.)

The name Bitcoen is derived from Coen or Cohen, a common surname in the Jewish community - especially in the United States - and in Hebrew it means "priest".

Supposedly, Bitcoen's purpose was to further global Jewish causes, ten percent of the coins was given to Jewish organizations as "tzedakah" - charity, and it was to be governed by a council of six prominant figures of the Jewish community.

IMHO, since anyone could obtain the coin - I couldn't see how any real control to limit its ownership to Jews or direct its uses could be achieved.

To me, it wreaked of Illuminati style hierarchy, obfuscation and "behind the curtain" authority.

Sorry, I passed on this Religiocoin experiment.

What will be next?

Jesuscoin, Mohammedcoin or Druidcoin?

By the People, for the People...

Cryptocurrency that is country-specific is not a new phenomenon.

The minute I heard rumors - which were later debunked - of the hard scheduled, impending ICO launch of "estcoin", purportedly a government backed cryptocurrency by the country of Estonia, my mind immediately thought of Auroracoin.

I can remember when Auroracoin, token symbol: AUR, was airdropped to the 330,000 people on Iceland's national ID database.

It was created in response to government restrictions on Icelenad's fiat currency - the krona. Its mysterious, unknown creator (a la Satoshi Nakamoto), goes by the pseudonym of Baldur Frigger Odinsson - the son of Odin.

He started the airdrop of 31.8 AUR to each legitimate claimant of Iceland.

From the beginning, Icelanders were divided on whether Auroracoin was a good venture or just another scamcoin.

In October of 2017, with a circulating supply of 8,658,139, Volume (24h) of $48,717 and a market capitalization of $6,152,153; AUR was  ranked 266 and stood at $0.71.

I believe it's a fair bet to posit that future ICO launches of politicocoins are not only possible, but inevitable.

Pornocoin

Tailor-made by Purveyors. Hailed by Pundits.

Since there 1,000's of altcoins, it's no surprise that Pornocoins exist.

Titcoin (Symbol: TIT) - not to be confused with Tittiecoin (Symbol: TTC) - is a bitcoin source code-based cryptocurrency specifically created and marketed to the adult entertainment industry.

It's the first cryptocoin legitimized by XBIZ, a major organization in the industry.

In 2017, Titcoin was ranked 641 and has a circulating supply of 49,898,202, a market capitlization of $214,357, Volume (24h) of $255, and was $0.0042.

Created in February of 2014, Tittiecoin (TTC), is an open source cryptocurrency and is dubbed as the "Official Currency of Tittie Island".

It has even more dismal market stats than Titcoin.

Finally we come - pun intended - to my favorite pornocoin called "Wankcoin" (Symbol: WKC).

When I visited their website: www.wankcoin.com, I laughed so much that I nearly fell off my chair!

Slogans like "Wankcoin - The Power is in Your Hands" and "Sex! Money! Power!...WANKCOIN!!!" are just a couple of the many hilarious porn meme wannabes seen on their site.

“Money And Porn, what could be better?”

“WANKCOIN is a crypto-currency that can be used to buy porn anonymously! Not just porn, but hi-quality HD porn and lots of it!"

"You don’t want to give up the numbers on that credit card? No problem, use WANKCOIN."

"So cum and get it. The more you mine, the more you’ll find. All you have to do is keep wankin’ off to porn, and you’ll get paid! It’s simple. It’s the fucking dream job!”

“Sex! Money! Power!… WANKCOIN!!!” (www.wankcoin.com)
