Beyond Love
Love came and took my heart,
then gave my soul back to me.
It cast me into the soil of sorrow,
and from that dust, faith began to bloom.
I let a little of myself fade,
and somehow found you within me.
The more of me I left behind,
the more of you filled my soul.
I made my heart a candle
in the darkness of a sleepless night,
hoping the light within your eyes
would guide me through the endless dark.
I taught my heart the art of patience,
trusting that one day you would come.
For when a soul has fallen in love with Truth,
it does not question the hour of its arrival.
I carried my sorrow as provisions
and made hope my only lantern.
Along this difficult and winding road,
I made the thought of you my refuge.
Come, burning light,
and shine within the house of my soul.
For from a single spark of your love,
a thousand sleeping lights could rise.
If this world ever asks
what price I place upon my heart,
I will tell it:
this heart was never meant for trade.
You will never find me cheaply,
even when I am weary and alone.
I gave my soul to love—
not my heart to the hands of the world.
My silence has a language,
if your heart is awake enough to hear.
Within this quiet stillness,
a thousand hidden secrets speak.
I left the noise of people
and wandered into the sanctuary of my heart.
There, only your name remained,
and even my own name disappeared.
If they ask me,
“What are you searching for
in this broken world?”
I will answer:
“The hidden light that lives
inside the hearts of us all.”
I love you—
not merely for the sweetness of feeling,
but because sometimes love
becomes a bridge
between a human heart and God.
I never became a stranger to love,
even when this world made me feel alone.
For every place where my heart was broken,
God seemed to draw nearer.
And if one day my candle dies,
and silence covers all that I have been,
do not forget me—
there will still be a spark of me
glowing somewhere in the dark.
And if nothing of me remains
but a little dust carried away by the wind,
may even that dust be gathered by God
if it has fallen upon the path of love.
How beautiful the world would become
if every heart searched for God.
How beautiful a human being could be
if they remained in love
and lost themselves within it.
Love taught me, at last,
that true freedom is leaving the self behind.
And I discovered that even within departure,
there are a thousand roads
that lead us home.
Neither you remained,
nor I remained,
nor did this fragile world endure.
Only the love that came from Him
remained between us—
quiet, eternal,
and beyond the reach of time.
