I recently created a new cryptocurrency. In some ways, it was much easier and much harder than I expected. First, I created the token with a simple CLI tool. It was really easy and the fees weren't high at all. I didn't know what to call it, but eventually I decided on Plover because I think they're really cute. Then, I need to actually implement some features in my token. My initial design was similar to SafeMoon: there is a set transfer fee, a portion of the fees are used to provide liquidity and a portion are locked to boost the price. The remaining fees would be used as a reward for every 10000th transaction to encourage activity. However, I ran into a ton of issues when trying to code this. I kept getting errors and it was pretty difficult for me since I don't have much experience in Rust. I tried working on it for about a week, but I gave up eventually. Now my token is just an average memecoin with no use. Maybe when I have more experience I'll try again, but for now I'm putting this project aside.
