I think Publish0x is such a cool platform. I have never written a blog before, and this gives me the opportunity to write and think and get paid very little in crypto at the same time! lol. I see that some people's posts get $10, $15, $30 and I think and hope that one day I'll get to that place. I'll be excited when one of my posts break $1.00
Okay, so here's the honest truth. I rarely tip someone 80% and have only tipped someone 100% once when I first got on Publish0x. When I click and scroll that level all the way to the left to the 20% publisher/80% me I have genuinely thought to myself, "Am I an asshole?"
So I wanted to ask the community: what are your regular tipping protocols? which kind of post makes you tip more? For those that you tip less, do you wonder if you should tip at all or search for something better?
Here has been my reasoning so far:
If I really jive for how an author writes--I think PopPogPrego's writing is hilarious and educational--I consistently tip him 80%+. But for most other folks I follow and read, unless I really get something out of the post, I'll tip them 20%.
It's not that I don't appreciate there writing, I do! But I want to see 1. consistency 2. humor 3. value/education 4. not taking yourself too seriously. Those are pretty much my big four. And if you can incorporate memes, I appreciate that, because I know it's not easy to put that stuff in a post. But that all being said, when I tip less I DO feel bad sometimes. And I wish I didn't.
That being said, I try to comment on every single post I read and interact somehow, because I know that you are all putting time and effort into your posts and that engagement with your readers is essential :)
But what about y'all? What are your normal tipping practices on Publish0x?
