Banano. Part 2 How Folding At Home Hits Home

I recently got my first Folding At Home 'payout'. It was about 26 bananos. Which I'm quite pleased with, do you know why? Because in my immediate family, my brother has beaten cancer 5 times, my father, aunt, both grandmothers have all battled with cancer.

Folding@Home has the support of literally the biggest technology companies in the world as you can see below.

Now, I wish I could understand that what capacity all of these big names are actually assisting with the Folding at Home project, but as you can see below they're in the top 30 contributors. But SEE, the "Default" at the top is everyone who is not contributing towards a specific team, but it working independently. And that is truly noble.

There are millions of individual people around the globe donating their computers resources to help find cures for cancer, Alzheimers, Covid strains, and so much more. Think about it. What is your computer doing when you're not on it? Not that long ago, my answer would have been "Nothing, it's sleeping. It's tired I think?" But computers are machines. Yes, they do need to be taken care of, but they can keep going when you and I cannot.

First, BE INSPIRED by the many tech leaders who helped put this video together. Secondly, consider going to Folding@Home's home page and doing some reading for yourself.

Diseases do no care about wealth, religion, nationality, race, or borders. Least of all that can protect us is our computers. Our computers are tools, thought incapable of much alone, when we all band our computers together, we create a supercomputer more powerful than any in existence.

OUR POWERS COMBINED!

There are more "serious" F@H projects, like Curecoin, or you can even do it alone; but I believe that Banano's F@H community to hands down be the most hilarious as well silliest. Which makes it #1 in my book.

Get yourself started at banano.cc and start contributing your excess computing towards the good of the planet! Help fight disease! And make a little money. But that's not what it's about!
