TL;DR: I'm not a gullible or judgemental idiotic shithead intent on killing people I don't like or whom are different to me. I have no space in my life for them, either.
I could never be a right-winger.
Mainly, that's because I firmly believe that what other people do with their lives is none of my goddamn business if it has little to no negative impact on me. (Yes, I believe that people should be allowed to harm themselves if they so choose and/or consent to others harming them, provided that harm extends no further. I'm liberal like that.) There are, however, other factors. Chief among them are that I’m not stupid, don’t mindlessly parrot slogans, reject dogmas, I think for myself, question and fact-check what people tell me, do my own research and can’t stand being lied to. If these weren't characteristic of the right-wing makeup, then there would probably be no right-wingers or, at the very least, no right-wingers involved with cryptocurrency (specifically Bitcoin) or kink (and I don't mean the Looky-Lou folks on the prowl for fetish fantasy wank fodder, problematic though they are). Kink is political by its very nature. So is crypto. Anyone who claims otherwise can fuck off to PH, Redtube or XHampster to watch some vanilla pornstars misrepresent a BDSM session, because they probably think that's all there is to it and what they're actually looking for anyway.
As far as I can tell, the only reasons there are right-wingers in the cryptosphere has nothing to do with freedom, it's that
- they think it's going to make them rich in fiat, never mind that a major intent of crypto is to free us from fiat.
- they don't give a single fuck about freedom of speech, wishing only to avoid having their intolerant rhetoric and hate speech censored, and in so doing, are turning Web3 antisocial media platforms like Hive and uHive into right-wing echo chambers.
Sometimes, censorship actually is A Good Thing™.

It seems not. Why's that? Maybe it's because one of the leading causes of atheism in former Christians and Muslims is actually reading Abrahamic religious books in their entirety. It's a funny thing, that, given that religious leaders recommend doing that to strengthen one's faith. Reading leads to knowledge and knowledge is clearly dangerous. (It's in the Torah, the bronze-age Wikipedia, so it must be true!) lets face it, there's a large overlap between Christian conservatives/fundamentalists and political conservatives, because the ideologies and/or values are strikingly similar.
If anyone does their own research and reads about the crypto and kink communities (including the Bitcoin whitepaper and various histories detailing the correlation between/intersection of homosexuality, civil rights and kink), they'd come to understand that the core ideas underpinning the communities of which they claim to be part (those ideas being chiefly anarchy, freedom and independence/individualism) are anathema to the beliefs that right-wingers hold so dear (regardless of whatever euphemisms they use for them): Dictatorships, fascism, racially and/or religiously motivated genocide and totalitarianism (in a phrase, massive and majorly centralised government). In short: "Get off my lawn before I call the police or shoot you!"
That sort of exertion of effort (never mind introspection, Yahweh forbid such foolishness, as they're wont to remind us), however, is not the intellectual milieu of the Q-Anon cabal ... In those circles of Hell, "I heard a thing from a friend of a friend" is all the verification of credentials you need for whatever follows that pronouncement. In a world of post-truth politics, lack of circuit-breakers on conspiracist wildfires taking Farceborg by storm and AI-produced propaganda, who has the time and energy (or even the ability) to keep up without getting caught up? Very few, certainly. It's not an excuse, though. I still manage.

To be clear, because someone's going to get offended and feel the need to #NotAllRightwingers ... I understand that not all right-wingers are Neo-Nazis (just as not all Leftists are Communists; fuck Commies!). However, a spectrum of bigotry and intolerance is still bigotry and intolerance and it's not a good look. Don't bother trying to convince me you have any redeeming features despite your flaws, because it's a mutual waste of time.
Bipartisan politics are definitely a major issue, a waste of time and energy. If right-wingers could only educate themselves (somewhat ironic that, considering that most of them are under-educated to start with) and help to solve problems that hold us back instead of create and perpetuate them ad infinitum and ad tedium, just imagine how much progress the human race could have made and still can make! It's easy if you can. You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one ...
The ironic thing is that with a bit of hair dye, more red meat in my diet and a strenuous gym routine, I could pass as the archetypal Aryan: Muscular blue-eyed blonde cishet white man, the very thing with which I want no relationship of any kind. Am I without sin, devoid of bigotry, intolerance and prejudice of any kind? Of course not. I'm just as bad as the rest of my demographic in some areas. The difference is that I'm (mostly) aware of it, not trying to hide or deny it and am working to rid myself of it. I probably will for the rest of my life, hopefully with the help of people whom are prepared to call me out on it when they see it in its various pernicious (and hopefully subtle) forms. I realise that it's a moving target, too. (The previous decades' Real Man™ is this decade's Toxic Masculinist, etc.) I'm certainly not proud of it, nor do I wear it as a badge of honour.
All that is why I'll never be a right-winger.
