It is you that I adore, Darling.
To stand in your light as it shines,
To be by your side as you cast your magic,
I do so desire.
This, though, I want you to understand:
I know what I never can.
It is not geography alone,
Nor a deficit of money
That thwarts me.
I am not good enough,
Do not succeed nor overcome
Enough to be any worthy woman's man.
It is the nature of how I am.
As much as I have dreams,
Project Babylon
Isn't going to happen.
Striving, alone
Will not make me a better man.
It's best for everyone
I find a way
Out of here,
Go live alone
In some quiet place,
Bother no one.
I am not one much for plans
Nor great designs,
but this one is
My only major one
(Insofar as it is one).
