I saw a video where GQ mag asked some boxer dude whom is unknown to me to rank his top five favourite Animé shows from most to least favourite. I thought to myself, "why don't I list mine in a post?" I've got six, so here goes, in case anyone cares ...

• Elfen Lied (Elven Song): Incredibly graphic, gory, heart-rending and as tragic a tale as you're likely to find. Best bits: Too many to list, but German episode titles, horny Neko-chans with six arms (vectors) and the sexy voice of the woman who provided the English version of Lucy's dialogue/monologues are three. / Worst bits: No second season; Lucy dies at the end; incest.
• Death Note: Dark, gritty, fantasy crime noir drama which is also graphic and gory. Best bits: Misa Amane's clothing; "I'll take a potato chip and eat it!"; title and ending theme music by Maximum the Hormone; Shinigami eyes. / Worst bits: The shinigamis themselves; Misa's simpering devotion to Light Yagami. (I don't like soft/simpering women characters.)
• Strawberry Panic: Lesbians in a love triangle in school uniforms. Best bits: Really, you have to ask? It actually has a decent plot, instead of being solely fan service. / Worst bits: What's not to like? Well, that's Shizuma's obsession with her dead lover.
• One Piece: Nico Robin, Nami and Boa Handcock = plenty of eye candy. Best bits: The women's figures and skimpy clothing. / Worst bits: Everything else.
• Black Lagoon: I haven't watched it much, but I've enjoyed what I've seen. Best bits: The evil Russian bitch. / Worst Bits: I don't remember much of it.
• Dishonourable Mention: Bleach: So-so to mediocre fantasy series with posturing dubebro douche canoes with oversized spirit swords. Best bits: Ichigo yelling "Bankai!"; Ichigo's Hollow mask; Tier Harribel's outfit showing underboobs (available as a clothing mod for Helena in DoA 5 on PC); Ichigo's main squeeze; Yuroichi (neko-chan) and Rangiku Matsumoto  / Worst bits: The plot, the other hollows, Chizuru's very aggressive lesbianism toward Orihime; Sōsuke Aizen's posse and the posturing dudebro douche canoes.

Tier Harribel from Bleach. She's super yummy in that getup, right?

Please feel free to suggest something to me if you've got similar tastes and think there's something I might like. I've been meaning to watch Ergo Proxy and Neon Genesis Evangellion (although I can't find a decent English dub for the latter and might have to learn Japanese to fully appreciate/enjoy it).
