For anyone who follows me, I'm probably not stating anything new here, since you probably already know this from my previous posts, but ... For the past year, I've been unemployed and looking for a job the traditional way (hitting job-posting sites such as indeed.com and business networking ones such as LinkedIn). I've even gone door to door, CV in hand, to the local businesses in the suburb in which I live. Nothing has worked in terms of getting any responses or leads.
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over, expecting the same result. (I would know, having had plenty of turns for the worse in my life.) I have been ready to give up on them a number of times and seek alternatives since I've had no success whatsoever with them. However, persistence usually pays off, eventually.
This morning, two people have inquired about my availability and salary expectations. (At this advanced stage of my prolonged unemployment, those are pretty much "I expect to be paid for the work I do; the rest is negotiable".) I know it's not much, but it's a start. I'm not getting my hopes up and counting my chickens before they hatch, though. I'm still going to keep looking. However, I'm expanding the area over which I cast my net and am including sites like froog.co, which pay crypto to people who do freelance jobs. If I get some work that way, that will be ideal, since I'm looking to increase my holdings in ATOM and DAI and acquire some CRO, so that I can unbank myself and go full crypto.
Anywho; I need to grab some breakfast, go for my daily walk earning sweatcoins and get cracking on finishing some Website work for the company that employs me as an animal handler/exerciser on weekends.
