Today, I received a message to contact a company through WhatsApp, regarding coming to an arrangement for paying a settlement to MTN. Yeah, no, that's not going to happen while I'm still alive, kicking and able to fight back. They're a bunch of deluded fools if they think otherwise. It's not about the amount (~1.5K banana bucks, ~80 USD), but the principle of the thing. I don't back away from a fight if someone pisses me off, especially if I think I'm in the right (which I am here). Besides, it would give me great satisfaction if they end up spending far more than that on trying to get it from me. For that matter, they should be paying me at least that much for wasting my time and pissing me off. Maybe I should sue them for damages ...

Anyway, I got onto WhatsCrap and sent this message:

Good day.

I received a message to contact your company regarding paying a settlement.

If this is about MTN continuing to try (and fail) to extort money from me over their incompetence and failure to close my account and terminate my contract with them, please kindly supply an email address to which I may forward a summarised record of events and accompanying documents. I have already sent such to the previous handover company that MTN tasked with doing its dirty work (whom closed the case, presumably finding in my favour).

I had enough of MTN's nonsense long ago. They need to get their act together and employ staff whom know how to keep proper financial records and stop bothering me or I will file a complaint with the Consumer Protection Ombudsman.
