Move Away Google, It's Time for Blockchain

As most of you might have experienced, or at least read about today, google and most of its apps, including youtube, gmail and maps, have had problems working in the last 24 hours, the services practically being down for at least half an hour, as @bozz on leofinance.io is detailing in his latest post and the outage being experienced almost everywhere in the world.

Yes, google is big, google is giant, google is the spider and we're almost all caught in his net. Well, probably China isn't... and the Chinese might have been "playing with Google's servers" lately :)), but such experiences, which ten or twenty years ago might not have been that impactful, point on how entangled we have become in the google services.

Huawei has ditched google for more than a year and it's been doing quite well, ever since, it has already its app gallery for its smartphones, tons of apps that can and may very well replace Google's apps in the future, but you have to put a bit of effort into setting everything out in a Huawei new smartphone that doesn't use google services and it's not that convenient. Not using google services means you won't be affected by such outages though.

The post is not about Huawei, and such events are happening once at every few years I guess, so it's not much of a drama, but it's sure eye opening towards blockchain technology, the decentralized one, and how vital will this be in the years to come.

Why I am pointing out towards blockchain tech and crypto a few hours after this so called black day for google is also @bozz guilt. In his above linked post, he mentioned that he recently tied his credit card to google play and for a while this feature was really at hand, but as he also mentioned, if he'd be in a gas station, with google experiencing another outage, and no other means of payment at hand for mister @bozz, how he would pay for the damn gas...

Well, bitcoin or some sort of stable coin would be an option, if mass adopted, since it is decentralized and it's not tied to some server or giant data base that can be shutdown in an instant. Cash also, but it's already old school and you can get infected by using it. Blockchain tech, especially during such situation, shows how disruptive it is and also how vital at the same time, for humanity.

When you think of ways of communication through blockchain, data bases that can be created on top of it, video streaming bein possible as well, and who knows what's next to come, you realize that we kind of won't need google in about a decade or so from now, but does google agree with me... I guess his owners are not too excited about the tech created by some Nakamoto guy, who we don't even know for sure if he's a guy, gal or a group, but I am excited about the waves of change, BTC and blockchain are creating.

I do, because such events in my opinion, are the wake up call for humanity towards decentralization of everything. I don't know tbh if humanity is ready for decentralization, but the need is here. We have come to such a tight entanglement to giants like Google, world banks, facebook, and others that our lives are somehow depending on them. In an era where almost anything is done online, including school, how can we live without all of those mentioned above?

Well, blockchain, bitcoin, crypto and decentralized blockchains are just a few key words that come on my mind. If there would have been a sort of an email service to work on blockchain, payments accepted in crypto everywhere, world wide accepted streaming blockchain apps, etc etc... there wouldn't be such an outage to affect us like the google one of today proved to be.

That's when one realizes that blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies are actually deemed, and deserve to become vital for the future, not google, its google play or apple pay that work more on spying on you rather than making your life easier. You see, now when one invests in crypto can really say is investing in the future. Maybe some wall street guys have come to similar conclusions as I have after this event and start investing in what really matter, a great potential weighing heavy for humanity.

Internet is becoming the blood of modern society, but the lungs, heart and other main organs need to asap be replaced for a proper functioning of such a body.

Thanks for attention,
Adrian
