In the first image, we see a narrow street lined with small shops and colorful advertisements. Rickshaws, CNG auto-rickshaws, and pedestrians share the same space. A traditional cycle rickshaw pulls two passengers through the crowded street. The rickshaw puller, likely working long hours in the heat and humidity, symbolizes the hardworking spirit of the common people. Overhead, a web of electric cables crisscrosses the sky, a typical sight in urban and semi-urban areas of Bangladesh. Together, these two images present a powerful glimpse into the daily grind of urban life in Bangladesh. They show a nation constantly on the move rich with culture, driven by hard work, and layered with contrasts. The old and new coexist here: traditional rickshaws next to CNGs, handwritten signs beside printed banners, and manual laborers working in a world of digital connectivity.
