A morning by the riverside is always refreshing and magical. As the first rays of the sun touch the calm water, the entire river seems to glow like liquid gold. The cool morning breeze carries a gentle fragrance of wildflowers and wet soil, making every breath feel pure and soothing. Birds begin their day with cheerful songs, flying low over the water or perching on branches along the bank.

Walking by the riverside in the early hours brings a sense of peace that is hard to find elsewhere. The ripples of the river create a soft, rhythmic sound, almost like nature’s own music. Watching fishermen prepare their nets or boats slowly drifting adds a touch of simplicity and beauty to the scene.

It is also a perfect time for reflection. Sitting quietly by the edge, one can feel connected to nature and to oneself. This afternoon I went to the local market to buy some fresh vegetables, and the experience was both lively and refreshing. The market was full of colors,green spinach, red tomatoes, purple eggplants, and bright yellow pumpkins, all neatly arranged by the vendors. The atmosphere was buzzing with people bargaining, sellers calling out their prices, and children running around happily.

I walked slowly through the narrow lanes, enjoying the rich smell of fresh produce mixed with the earthy scent of the market. The vendors were friendly and eager to show me their best items. I carefully selected what I needed,some leafy greens, potatoes, carrots, and a basket of fresh chilies.Visiting the market in the afternoon always feels special because it connects me with the rhythm of daily life. It is not just about buying vegetables, but also about experiencing community, colors, and the simple joys of everyday living.

After coming back from the market with a bag full of fresh vegetables, I decided to cook khichuri with my own hands. There is something very special about preparing a meal from ingredients you personally picked. The aroma of fresh rice, lentils, and vegetables filled the kitchen as I began. I carefully washed the rice and dal, chopped the vegetables, and added them to the pot with a mix of spices.

As the steam rose, the fragrance of turmeric, cumin, and ginger spread through the house, making it feel warm and inviting. I stirred patiently, waiting for the khichuri to thicken and the flavors to blend perfectly. Cooking it with my own hands gave me a deep sense of satisfaction.

Finally, when I served it hot with a little ghee on top, the taste was simply delightful. It wasn’t just a meal,it was comfort, care, and love on a plate. The effort of choosing fresh vegetables and cooking from scratch made every bite more meaningful.

That evening, enjoying the khichuri I had cooked myself felt like a celebration of simple joys. Sometimes, food is not only about filling the stomach but also about filling the heart with happiness.
