A different experience in Feni.
I went to Feni for a job, after finishing work I spent a lot of time there and I will share some of the conversations of that day with you. I hope you will enjoy reading the entire blog and you will learn a lot. So without going into the introduction, let's go straight to the main point.
After waking up in the morning, the first thing I did was finish the activities I had to do and went to the office. From the office, the two of us went to the highway road for Feni, from where you can go by CNG or bus. There, we boarded the bus, then went to Feni. After going to Feni, we finished the work that was there and after work, we went to the railway station to spend time. There, I had some different experiences.
We walked around different areas of the railway station, but while walking around, I saw a place where the train traffic was stopped. That means the train lines were disconnected. There were many people crowded in that area. I slowly went there and saw that everyone was sitting with different things. Some are sitting with fish, beef, chicken, mutton and rice.
Each item is prepared in a different way. And all of them are cooked. Especially chicken, beef, mutton and various types of fish are also there. Later, when I investigated them, I did not understand that they actually cooked them themselves, but they came in a different way. After talking to an experienced person, I understood the whole story.
These are basically the leftover meat from weddings or events organized in various community centers. And they bring them to an area of the railway station and sell them. And some classes of citizens buy them and take them home and cook them a little themselves. In addition, some meat and fish are brought from various weddings.
They steal some food from weddings. Again, they keep some things in a separate place in the name of throwing them away and bring them here to sell. Basically, all those who are selling collect this way and then sell it here. No one cooks it themselves and sells it like this. And I don't know how healthy they are myself. But we have no devotion or any interest in such food. Still, a class of citizens take them for food.
Then I saw many women sitting with rice. When I asked one, he said that it was 60 taka per kg and another said 50 taka. Some rice was mixed, meaning there were several types of rice mixed and some rice was fine. Later, when I talked about it, I came to know that the women who go from house to house and bring the rice for begging, they collect it together and sell it here.
Again, there are some women who collect it from all the beggars and bring it here at a good price. It's like a wholesaler and retailer. Then I saw another part of the railway line where fish ice is being dried. I came to know about them that they are sold by the kilogram. I was surprised to hear that, but I already knew that lipstick for women is made by the weight of the month.
On the other side, I saw some clothes being sold on the sidewalk. When I saw them, I noticed that the clothes were not new, but clothes that were bought from people's homes and washed thoroughly and were being sold. I knew that second-hand phones and second-hand cars were used. But this was the first time I saw such second-hand clothes. It was a different experience that day.
Anyway, we walked around there and had breakfast. After breakfast, we left for our destination. As usual, after work, we walked around and had some experiences and above all, we reached home on time. The experience of that day was quite good. I hope you will also find this experience new. Because you may have never imagined something like this, which I did not imagine either. Anyway, thank you all.
