The title was designed to get your attention (maybe, maybe not?) In his letter from Birmingham jail, Martin Luther King said, “A just law is a man made code that squares with the moral law or the law of God. An unjust law is a code that is out of harmony with the moral law.” King also says, “One has not only a legal but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. Conversely one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws” The question is, are laws designed to put someone in prison over a God/nature given plant just laws? Perhaps the vast majority of Americans think not?

Head over to any foreign cannabis seed bank and many of them accept some form of crypto currency, mainly Bitcoin. This affords the consumer, who may be living in a state that practices cannabis prohibition, a small measure of confidentiality while making the transaction. In addition, the seller is receiving payment in a form that they hope will gain value in their future. Does the acceptance of Bitcoin as payment for goods and services reflect opinions of the world’s current monetary system? Perhaps. Why would a business accept payment in the form of crypto currency if they didn’t feel it had potential value over standard currency? To back this thought, many seed banks give discounts or bonus products as an incentive to pay them in Bitcoin.
The benefit to the consumer is evident. If I had $1234 in Bitcoin and my portfolio was up 22% then what a great time to make purchases using Bitcoin! Then, when my portfolio drops 18%, I buy more Bitcoin and wait. Seems like a no brainer. In addition, I can maintain a measure of confidentiality while making my purchases as my bank statement doesn’t reflect the business name I made the purchase from. In addition, if I am buying through mail order, it is much safer than sending cash if I want my purchase to remain anonymous.

Perhaps ‘going rogue’ while making online purchases using crypto currency is the frontrunner to the future of online business in general? Let’s look at the benefits:
- Crypto currency has intrinsic value that fluctuates. When the value is down, it is time to invest. When the value is up, it is a good time to utilize crypto or transfer your profit to a stable account to reinvest when the value has hit bottom.
- Using crypto for purchases allows for a measure of anonymity. This anonymity can be compromised during the shipment process or via emails but the actual transaction itself can be anonymous.
- Using crypto is safer than sending cash though the mail.
- It is more convenient than and more anonymous than buying a postal money order and probably cheaper too.
- It is a worldwide form of currency. There are no conversion fees from your bank like there would be converting the USD to the Euro for instance.
Can you think of other good reasons why crypro currency could very well be the future of payment online? While using crypto for the purchase of something like cannabis seeds provides anonymity for the purchaser and provides benefit to the seller by paying him or her in a form that can increase in value more so than standard currency (as of this writing one Bitcoin is equal to $8304.60 USD!) I believe crypto is the future of online payment and cannabis seed banks were just the beginning of the future.
