Bienvenidos mis ositos, tu siempre eres mis queridos! (Welcome back little bears you are always my dears!)
How long, how long will I slide?
Well, separate my side
I don't, I don't believe it's bad
Slittin' my throat, it's all I ever
I heard your voice through a photograph
I thought it up it brought up the past
Once you know you can never go back
I gotta take it on the otherside
Well, centuries are what it meant to me
A cemetery where I marry the sea
A stranger thing could never change my mind
I gotta take it on the otherside
Otherside lyrics
-Red Hot Chili Peppers
No matter the situation, there’s always a Red Hot Crypto Peppers song I can enjoy. They got funky songs, high energy songs, and of course melancholy songs.
I remember when the band would come out play with socks on their um… peppers.

Last year, it felt like we were making so much money that we could just GIVE IT AWAY.
Even trashy useless protocols were making tons of money just by having good memes and spicy tweets.
Fast forward to today after a brutal collapse in the crypto market most of us are now living UNDER THE BRIDGE.
MY FRIENDS I know your crypto portfolios are hurting, heck I know YOU’RE hurting. But don’t worry we will get out of this brutal crypto winter eventually.
There’s been a lot of decentralized groundwork already laid. Years of educational content have been created and consumes. We’ve invested too much effort, money, and time. We CAN’T STOP
The Ethereum merge went off without a hitch so of course the markets sold off ETH. The White House and other government agencies are making veiled threats against decentralized crypto.
Of course they’re implying CBDCs can be “innovative”.
Sigh
This crypto winter has me down in the dumps so I needed a song to match.
The fourth track (if you go by the compact disc) from their Californication album does the trick
It feels dark and dank in the beginning of the song but it picks up at the end.
Supposedly the song was meant to convey the sensations felt by a drug addict.
It might seem like a stretch to compare a crypto bro to a drug addict but to be brutally honest we probably look the same.
For a good chunk of 2021 I was TETHERed to Twitter feeds and Discord channels hoping for any bit of alpha. Rotating from different layer 1 protocols and making money from all the liquidity mining incentives offered an amazing sensation.
It felt like an adrenaline rush mixed with a drug induced high. Now that the liquidity crunch has happened and the VC checks have stopped, the digital streets are littered with crypto crackheads.

Once we enter digital rehab we’ll be cleaned up for the next bull market.
Don’t despair and don’t give up now the best is yet to come!
See you on the Otherside.
