How to Achieve Any Goal You Want

Often people don’t achieve a goal because they have an underlying doubt about themselves and their ability to achieve it. In this article we’ll explore how to cultivate an unwavering belief so you can start progressing towards your goals with power and clarity.

Now, most people think belief happens because of past ability to achieve a goal, like winning an award or building a successful business. In reality, however, many people have achieved external success and still feel miserable or like they didn’t deserve. True belief in yourself is an internal process.

Dealing with self-sabotage

Great things start to happen when you learn how to ‘manufacture belief’. Another way of putting it, suspending disbelief, even for a bit. It opens you up to new possibilities. That’s where you get the courage to try new things in life, such as asking someone on a date, applying for a higher paying job, or even starting a business.

However, instead of continually focusing on that firm belief, most people waver and allow disbelief to creep in. Self-sabotage happens to almost everyone. You start doubting your ability to make something happen.

On the other hand, high-achievers realize that they need to deal with, and transform their self-sabotage. They choose whether to let it ruin their lives or deal with it head-on. Unfortunately, most people don't realize they have this choice, so they continually let it undermine them. They keep thinking negatively based on basically past programming.

The pattern leads to more negative feelings that reinforce their neural pathways and produces addictive neurochemicals.

Unfortunately, the downside to this vicious cycle is the feeling of victimhood. You feel that you don't have control. These thoughts lead to hopelessness, fear, anxiety, frustration, and, eventually, loss of motivation to pursue your goal.

"It's already done" - The power of believing

The most crucial factor in achieving any goal is to become the person that believes you already have. However, there's an essential distinction to that concept: It's not about believing you will achieve your goal but believing you already received it.

Some of the most successful athletes use this technique to win race after race. The method is called mental rehearsal and here’s how it works: Visualize yourself succeeding, feel the feelings of playing your best out on the field and coming out a winner.

Michael Phelps used this technique to become the greatest swimmer in the world.

When you believe you've already received it, you become completely detached from the worry, desperation, and anxiety that most people typically have around a goal they haven't achieved yet. This is the energy that attracts the goal towards you.

In contrast, if you're worried continuously, e.g., about not having enough money to pay the bills, customer complaints, or getting sick, you're sending a message to your unconscious to create the things you don't want.

The quantum field

The quantum field is a theory about a plane of existence where thoughts manifest into reality. Your unconscious passes on messages to the quantum field.

For example, when you broadcast worry to the quantum field, your goal eludes you. More anxiety causes the quantum field to give you more of what you don't want because that's what your mind fixates on. Therefore, worrying about money would only create more money woes.

Instead, practice believing that you already received it. How would you think, feel, and act if you already had it? By doing this, you train your mind to experience the end product of future experiences today. In other words, the best way to predict your future is to create it and practice living it when you finally achieve it.

The power of gratitude in achieving goals

When you finally achieve your goal, take a moment to appreciate and relish the moment. Most people make the mistake of attaining a goal and moving on too fast without genuinely enjoying their success. It's one reason why so many people reach the top but don't enjoy the view. They haven't learned to integrate their wins and respect what they have been given. They fail to immerse themselves fully in the gratitude of their good fortune.

Recognize this interaction with the quantum field when the universe gave you precisely what you asked for. What you appreciate appreciates back as the adage goes.

Gratitude and appreciation strengthen your relationship with the quantum field, and the universe, and it continues to give you more of the things that are on purpose for your life.

Set ambitious goals

If you can achieve any goal you want in life, why not go for something big? Pick something slightly unreasonable. A goal you'd like to achieve, but that seems impossible right now.

Also, regardless of your goal, there are going to be false starts and some failures. All great successes are built on a string of failures. Learning from mistakes, reaffirming your belief, and trying again is what yields success in the end.

Unfortunately, most people stop believing after a few failures. In contrast, high achievers dig in and reaffirm their belief time and again, reconstructing it as needed. How do they do it? By listening to uplifting and inspirational content, or joining a coaching program such as the Mindstory Inner Circle that reaffirms your beliefs in yourself and your goals.

In conclusion

Ultimately, your success and fulfillment in critical areas of your life are a direct reflection of your beliefs. In fact, the stronger you believe in your success, that's like a done deal.
