I bring you a step-by-step manual on how to transfer your hard-earned tokens through posting on the alternative social media Minds: transferring them to your wallet which will allow you to exchange it for other tokens or ethereum.

This guide will assume the following things:

1. You are eligible for the Rewards program. This implies that you have given a phone number to Minds so they can verify your uniqueness and reduce the amount of bots/spam in Minds.
2. You have Minds Plus. On of the pre-requisites for moving tokens off-chain is that little plus sign. Get it.

The journey to get your tokens on-chain will consist of getting your wallet set up, connecting it to the Minds "Wallet", and then making the transaction per se on the "Earn" tab on the Minds sidebar.

1st Step: Connect your wallet.

You can receive rewards without having a wallet connect to your account. However, when you want to send your tokens somewhere, Minds needs an address to send it to. That’s the receiver address. I’ll use Metamask to demonstrate this.

1. Go to Metamask.io.
2. Download the extension. For that you will need either an iOS, Android or browsers Brave, Google Chrome, Firefox or Edge. Install that thing and follow their instructions.
3. Create a new account in the Metamask system:
   1. Give a name to it;
   2. Receive the contract address (should start with 0x, example: 0x8FF4a0805c6d72C92a0a1a02b7208E83321458B8);
   3. Write down the 12 or 24 words they give you (called seed phrase). DO NOT LOSE THEM. These words are what makes up for the encryption needed to make transactions secure. They are private keys so DO NOT GIVE THEM TO ANYONE ELSE.
4. Now that you have your wallet set up, go to Minds.
5. Go to Wallet> Connect Wallet.
6. Select “Metamask”.
7. Click on “sign” and follow the instructions.
8. Once you’re done, a message should appear confirming our wallet is connected and is verified.

2nd Step: Buy Ethereum.

You will need some Ethereum to pay for the fees of transferring your tokens off to on-chain. To avoid getting the bug of showing 1.6 ETH to pay for the transaction, make sure you buy around 100 USD/EUR worth of Ethereum.

This will be necessary because moving those tokens costs money and you’ll have to pay the gas fees to get the tokens to your wallet. How do you buy Ethereum? Well, if it’s your first time buying and you’re on Metamask, follow these instructions.

1. Open the metamask extension and select your account;
2. Click on “buy”;
3. It should go through a payment method called “Wyre”, where you’ll be able to exchange your fiat currency for Ethereum;
4. Select your preferred amount;
5. Select your payment method;
6. Fill in the information for your payment;
7. Follow the remaining instructions.

You should have your Ethereum in the account selected shortly.

3rd Step: Transfer tokens On-Chain.

Now that you have enough Ethereum to pay for the transaction, let’s do the actual transfer. I’ll go on and transfer mine with you :D

1. Click on "Earn" in Minds sidebar;
2. Click on "Transfer On-chain";
3. Select your preferred amount of tokens you wish to transfer;
4. A Metamask window should pop up, informing you of the transaction costs. Check if the addresses are ok and the transaction too;
5. Follow the instructions:
6. Verify the selector;
7. Verify the fields;
8. Review the transaction to make sure everything’s correct;
9. Click "Accept and Send";
10. Minds will send you a notification saying the transfer is in course;
11. The blockchain will confirm your transaction in a couple of minutes and you will receive a notification from Minds informing you of it;
12. Minds staff will review the transaction and make it happen manually, which can take a couple of hours to a couple of days;
13. To monitor the transfer, go on your Metamask:
    1. Click on "Activity";
    2. Click on the latest interaction (should be a contract interaction);
    3. Click on the blue arrow on your top right corner. This will take you to Etherscan and you can check all the information there. Click here to see mine.
14. If you have any problems with this, contact minds support at [email protected]. You will also receive notifications of the process through your email, so you should pay attention to that as well.
15. Your tokens should be in your wallet in no time!

And there you go. You have your tokens in your Wallet and outside of Minds servers. You can choose what to do with them: hold them for off-chain tokens, acquire more Ethereum and provide liquidity to Uniswap, and more!
