As the new year starts, it’s time to build! Pi Network has released a new developer library that allows developers to integrate Pi payments into their apps in under ten minutes. The library bundles the Pi SDK with backend APIs into a single, streamlined setup, significantly reducing the amount of time needed to add payments to apps.

By simplifying payment integration, developers can instead spend more time creating and improving actual products for users. This aligns with Pi’s longer term strategy to strengthen and expand Pi’s utility-driven ecosystem where apps are practical, usable, and ready for real-world adoption.

The initial release supports commonly used stacks, which makes the library immediately usable for many existing apps. On the frontend, developers can use JavaScript or React, while backend support includes Next.js and Ruby on Rails. 

As 2026 begins, Pi Network encourages developers to continue building apps and utilities for users across the Pi ecosystem and beyond. Payments are a core dependency for real-world applications with real utility using Pi, and reducing its integration time lowers the barrier for developers to experiment, prototype, and deploy Pi payments faster.
