{Part 1}

    "Rejoice"

My head felt as though it were expanding at the mere utterance of that word. "Nevermore will hardship fall upon you," said the white-clad woman. Then with a single motion of her hand, the door had fixed itself and my fire was re-ignited.

I finally found whatever it was within me which allowed me to speak, and I said "Whatever do you happen to mean, by what you have just decreed to me?" As the words left my mouth I could not believe how Regaly I had spoken, This is definitely not how I usually talk.

"I am an Angel," said the woman, "My name is The Winter, I was sent to bestow upon you, your eternal reward"

"Why am I speaking to you in a manner, that is atypical to my character," I asked the The Winter

"It is sinful to speak in the presence of an Angel with your unclean tongue"

"What do you intend to bestow upon me," I asked The Winter

"For your efforts in the face of many trials, I am gifting you an eternal existence" as she spoke I felt an unnatural calmness wash over my body in a cold wave. It was as if this feeling was not induced through my body's own choice but rather through some outside force. "You will not want for your needs any longer, and you will not need your wants, as your only want will become the need for what I provide to you, If you tell me you are hungry you will become full, if you tell me you are thirsty you will thirst no longer, if you wish to be satisfied, then I will satisfy you. All of your needs will be forever provided by my hand, and should you become well through my means you will never die."

None of that sounded particularly different from my life already if I was being honest with myself, I was certainly not rich. but I never missed a meal, I already had all of my basic needs taken care of. In the moment I only knew one thing to ask for "May you evacuate me from this cabin and from this storm?"

"You may not leave this place, it would be a blasphemous act of the highest order to disregard the will of the heavens, you're existence is here now, forever and always"

As she spoke the same reoccurring musty smell showed up again, and she had a new sound of slight anger in her voice. What she said terrified me to my core. "I can never leave this place," I asked meekly. "You are confined only by the reach of the fruits of my hand" said The Winter

"You should never have a want to leave, as you will be provided for unlike any other soul, as long as you remain within these walls"

I supposed that an eternal existence was something special even if I was apparently stuck in this cabin forever and it was about time someone recognized my pain. I was finally being rewarded for the suffering I had endured. My parents had never loved me and threw me out on the street when I was young, thats how I met Walace, who I treasured as my closest friend. He must not have though so however.

"I wish to eat" I said to the eagerly waiting Angel

    "Then you shall be full"

That was the first time I recievied one of her "gifts". The sweet fragrance of vanilla returned as The Winter reached out and touched my stomach. I immediatly felt perfectly full, which is to say that I was niether hungry or uncomfortably fed. Despite the fact that no food had ever passed through my mouth I began to taste a wide array of wonderful and indescribable flavours thrust upon my tongue all at once. I imediatly knew that I need more.

"I wish to end my thirst" I said

"Then I will assure the end to your thirst"

The Winter then raised her hand and did a sort of waving motion, which is seemingly what caused a roaring sound as the floor of the cabin opened up and the splintered wood, of which had previously been the floor, reshaped itself into a river bed, and a mighty rush of water entered from thin air to fill the new stream.

Simply seeing this perfect water was enough to exentuate my thirst, which I had previously been exagerating out of curiosity. I felt possed as I immediatly knelt down to take a drink from the stream when just like so many other aspects of my angelic encounter, I noticed something unnatural about the stream. There was no reflection in the water. I now hesitated to drink which was noticed by The Winter.

"Why do you hesitate blessed one?"

"This water reflects nothing" I said "Surely that must mean something is the matter with it"

"The lack of reflections in this place is for you benefit as is every aspect of your new eternity, reflections show us the mirror side of the world and you were not meant to look upon the Chirality of an Angel. You should take such a gift as you have been given as you see itt and not questioon the divine authority to which it was delivered."

The slight angery tone had retured when she spoke as had the musty odor and I could tell that I was asking to many questions so I began to drink from the stream. It did seem odd to me that if The Winter had been sent to place me in a state of eternal ease, that I would not trust her actions completly. I chalked it up to mortal misunderstanding. Who was I to question the will of the heavens?.

    I was so niave
