I wrote earlier in the year about holidays (vacations for my American friends) within the confines of the still ongoing pandemic. Whist this hasn’t gone away many of our restrictions and freedoms have been restored such as the ability to travel overseas within certain limitations.
At the time of booking the Disney cruise my wife and I erred on the side of caution as it was uncertain which countries we could and could not travel to. We settled on a staycation with a difference, a cruise onboard the Disney Magic.
My wife is a Disney fanatic and I go along for the ride. This cruise however has much to offer including various alcohol tasting, spa sessions, a running deck, fitness suites and a lot of shopping. The kids will be happy as well as there is onboard child care to give us some needed kid free time together.
About the Ship
The ship has been in operation since 1997 and can home 2,700 passengers. There are six different dining areas on board ranging from provision of snakes all the way to fine dining.
As you would Imagine there are plenty of activities for the kids to do. Some of this is centred around the pool and there are also arcades available.
Food and drink is inclusive of the price with the exception of fine dining and alcohol so there is ample opportunity here for my waistline to increase. We will be away three nights and I hope to blog about our experiences when we return.
