Be careful of who you trust

As you may already know, a lot of people are more and more interested into investing into cryptocurrencies. We have a lot of platforms for these such as Binance, Kraken, etc... which "may" be trusted. However, with the increasing number of beginners into the crypto market, scammers have found a new niche market to exploit and it is unfortunate that a lot of people fall for them. Furthermore, even people with experience do fall for these scams as well. So how does the scammer operate?

Here is the summarized points:

  • They create a platform that appears to be an investment platform
  • They put fake screenshots of people receiving a lot of money
  • They create a page on Facebook with again fake profile thanking them for the profit received
  • They then contact YOU via messenger asking you if you are interested to invest, showing the screenshots

Most of them makes use of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin or Ethereum. You may think, these are pretty obvious scams and no one actually believe in them. But you are wrong - a lot of people actually fall for these. The key question to ask if someone tries to lure you into making money is to ask a question: Why do they want you to invest your money if they are already making money on the platform on their own?
