Washington Capitals - New Jersey Devils
The Caps lost a game last night. That's unusual. What's even more unusual is the Devils beating them. The Capitals have won every single game against the Devils this season. New Jersey are on an upward trend, but they are a huge underdog here. Washington wins!
Toronto Maple Leafs - Winnipeg Jets
Toronto won the last one. It's been close games all along, and I expect another close one here. So close that I might as well flip a coin, but I want to make a concious choice. And I see a slight edge for the Leafs. Toronto wins!
Calgary Flames - Edmonton Oilers
The Flames really need to win games. The playoff spot looks more and more elusive. Edmonton has looked pretty good lately. I expect a hard battle. A close game. I could see it go either way, but the Oilers are a better team. Or well, they have McDavid and Draisaitl. The rest of the taem is not so good. But I think that those two are likely to decide the game. Edmonton wins!
St Louis Blues - Colorado Avalanche
The Blues have struggled lately, and the Avs have been amazing. It's two good teams, I don't declare it as a given, but there's a clear favourite here. Colorado wins!
Arizona Coyotes - Anaheim Ducks
Very important game for the Yotes! They are chasing the playoff spot, and it's within touching distance. The Ducks can play a relaxed game, there's no pressure. I expect a low-scoring game, but the Coyotes are a better team, and they have the better chance. Arizona wins!
San Jose Sharks - Los Angeles Kings
The Sharks against the Kings. Both teams are chasing the playoff spot. It's within reach. Especially for the one that wins tonight, if the Avs beat the Blues. The Sharks have looked good lately, and Karlsson is starting to get his offensive game going. The Kings had an impressive win against Vegas not long ago. I expect a close game, but with the Sharks recent form, I have to go with them. San Jose wins!
In summary, my winners are:
Washington Capitals
Toronto Maple Leafs
Edmonton Oilers
Colorado Avalanche
Arizona Coyotes
San Jose
