Carolina Hurricanes - Nashville Predators

So, the Preds finally got a win. But they had a lot of power plays in that game, and the Canes still took it to overtime. I don't agree with Carolina coach Rod Brind*Amour that something was amiss in that regard, but I don't think we can expect that in this game. And wihtout it, the Hurricanes being the superior team will probably show. Carolina wins!

Colorado Avalanche - St Louis Blues

Sweep incoming? The Blues have actually been a lot closer in the previous games than they tend to get credit for thought. But still, they are the underdogs here. There's no doubt about that. Colorado wins!

Boston Bruins - Washington Capitals

All games between these two have been very close, but now the Bruins have the chance to send the Caps home. I expect another very close game, but across the previous games, I'd say I have to give some edge to the Bruins, and not only because they've won three out of four. Boston wins!

Edmonton Oilers - Winnipeg Jets

So, it turns out it is possible to shut down the super duo from Edmonton twice in a row, after all. Third time's the charm? Both games have been very close, and both times, Hellebuyck were amazing, and saved the day for the Jets. Now they change location to Winnipeg. I don't think that will make much of a difference. It will be another close, low-scoring game I think. The Oilers will be desperate. If they don't win now, they are in a really bad spot. Can that desperation give them the extra fighting spirit needed to get the win? Who knows, but I think it's time for McDavid and Draisaitl to step up now. Edmonton wins!
