Nashville Predators - Florida Panthers
I'll go with the better team here. Florida wins!
Minnesota Wild - Colorado Avalanche
While the Wild are amazing this season, the Avs have gotten going now, and I think they have the better chance here. Colorado wins!
Chicago Blackhawks - Tampa Bay Lightning
The Blackhawks took the Bolts to a shootout the other night, proving that they can put up a fight. Still, the Lightning are the best team in the NHL I'd say, and I expect them to dominate this game. Tampa Bay wins!
New York Rangers - Washington Capitals
The Rangers put up a good fight in the same matchup last night. They are playing really well right now, but the Caps a re just such a good team right now, and I think they have the better chance in this one too. Washington wins!
Philadelphia Flyers - New York Islanders
The Flyers have won all three meetings against the Islanders so far. They seem to like playing against the New Yorkers, so I have to go with them here. Philadelphia wins!
Columbus Blue Jackets - Carolina Hurricanes
It was a close game the other night. I think the Canes are the better team and that they have the better chance to win this time. Carolina wins!
Dallas Stars - Detroit Red Wings
The Red Wings won the last meeting. They don't give anything away for free. The Stars have to start winning if they are to have a chance to catch Chicago in the run for the last playoff spot. I expect an even game, but the Stars should make it this time. Dallas wins!
Vancouver Canucks - Montreal Canadiens
It was a very close game last night, and now they go at it again, back-to-back. The Canucks won in overtime yesterday. I expect this one to be close too. Demko has played a lot, is it time to rest him? That would weaken the Nucks a lot, as he's been amazing in net lately. Still, I feel the Canucks are the hotter team right now, so I will go with them. Vancouver wins!
Calgary Flames - Toronto Maple Leafs
Another back-to-back repeat meeting. The Flames won the first one, but it was a very close game, where I'd weak goaltending lost the game for the Leafs. Time for Calgary to rest Markström and play Rittich in net tonight? I expect Toronto to play Campbell in net after the last performance from Andersen. It will probalby be a close game again, but I expect the Leafs to come out on top this time. Toronto wins!
Arizona Coyotes - Anaheim Ducks
The Ducks won the last one, but I think the Yotes are the slightly better team. It could go either way, but I see the Ducks as the underdog, if not by much. Arizona wins!
St Louis Blues - San Jose Sharks
Here's another back-to-back game between two teams who had a hard battle last night. The Blues won the previous game in a shootout. I expect another close game here, and I think the Sharks will make a comeback, winning this time. Dubnyk probably starts in net for the Sharks, and he's had a better season than Jones. Maybe that will tip the scale? San Jose wins!
Winnipeg Jets - Edmonton Oilers
Two teams with a lot of offensive strength. While the Jets have it spread out over many really good forwards, the Oilers have almost all of it summed up in two players - McDavid and Draisaitl. Winnipeg are more even, while Edmonton can be up one game and down another. It's really hard to predict this one, but I think the Jets have the better chance. Winnipeg wins!
Booston Bruins - Buffalo Sabres
This game has been postponed due to positive Covid tests. We will see when these teams play again.
