The Sabres are on the way down, the Islanders on the way up, and the latter have won all three meetings between these teams. New York Islanders wins!
New York Rangers - New Jersey Devils
The Devils have won the previous meetings, but the Rangers are hotter right now. I think that will be decisive. New York Rangers wins!
Detroit Red Wings - Carolina Hurricanes
One of the weakest teams in the league against one of the best. No debate, Carolina wins!
Philadelphia Flyers - Pittsburgh Penguins
Two teams that are really good right now. the Penguins won the last game. I feel this one could go either way, but I lean towards that the Flyers get their revenge for last time. Philadelphia wins!
Winnipeg Jets - Montreal Canadiens
The Jets are hot. The Habs are trying to find their way under Ducharme. I have to go with the Jets here. Winnipeg wins!
Tampa Bay Lightning - Chicago Blackhawks
While the Blackhawks are way better than I would have expected this season, I can't see them threaten the Bolts. Tampa Bay wins!
Florida Panthers - Nashville Predators
The Panthers have been great this season, and while the Preds have been heading the right direction the last few games, I have to see them as the weaker team here. Florida wins!
Columbus Blue Jackets - Dallas Stars
Two teams that are ice cold right now. But of the two, I think that the Stars have looked the worst lately. Columbus wins!
Ottawa Senators - Calgary Flames
This is a tricky one. The Flames are just all over the place, playing great one game just to be awful the next. The Senators have played really well the last few weeks. I could see this one go either way. I'll let form decide. Ottawa wins!
Toronto Maple Leafs - Vancouver Canucks
The Leafs looked just fantastic against the Oilers. The Nucks have been trending in the right direction for a while now, but I just can't see them win this. Toronto wins!
