Philadephia Flyers - Buffalo Sabres
The Sabres were very, very close to getting their first win in a long while the other day. They were up 3-0, but still found a way to lose. A very shaky start by the Flyers, and a very shaky finish by the Sabres. Now they face off again, and both teams are still in panic mode. Now that Ullmark is back in net for the Sabres, I feel it's only a matter of time before they get that elusive win. At the same time, I think that the comeback was invigorating for the Flyers. I think this game is hard to predict, but it's hard to put my faith in a team that has lost 18 games in a row. Philadephia wins!
Toronto Maple Leafs - Winnipeg Jets
Top meeting in the Canadian Division! These two have two wins each in the previous meetings. I expect a very close game, but I think the Jets have been the better team lately. Winnipeg wins!
Arizona Coyotes - Colorado Avalanche
I'm not going against the Avs right now. Not against any team in this division. They have been amazing lately. Colorado wins!
Los Angeles Kings - Vegas Golden Knights
The Kings gave Vegas a scare last time, but Vegas are just too good. Vegas wins!
Calgary Flames - Vancouver Canucks
This is a must-win game for both teams. They are trailing behind the current playoff teams by a lot. The Canucks have had a positive Covid test on Jake Virtanen. He's not a key player for them, but the uncertainty it creates for both teams could be a factor. Will there even be a game? So far, it looks like it, but it makes the preparation different for the players. As for the game, I feel the Flames are a better team than the Canucks. They also have won four of the six previous games. I expect this to be a tight game, but Vancouver is the underdog. Calgary wins!
Minnesota Wild - San Jose Sharks
The Sharks put up quite a fight in the last meeting, and won in a shootout in the end. Karlsson showed a glimpse of his old self, scoring two goals during regulation time, and then the game winning penalty shot. It's hard to gauge this one, but the Wild have done well against the teams that are not Colorado or Vegas so far this season, and I expect them to get their revenge here. Minnesota wins!
