Tampa Bay Lightning - Nashville Predators
So, it turns out I am late for this one. Didn't realize it was going to start early. They usually don't do that in the weekdays. I haven't watched any replays from the game or checked the score yet, so I don't know who won yet, but my pre-game guess would of course have been the Bolts. Tampa Bay wins! (did they?)
Washington Capitals - Buffalo Sabres
The Sabres have lost what, 10 games in a row, or what is it? It has to end sooner or later, but it looks like later. Washington wins!
Philadelphia Flyers - New York Rangers
The Flyers have had a tough spell but they have played pretty well against some tough opponents and it's been close games most of the times. I think this is where the tide turns for them. Philadelphia wins!
Chicago Blackhawks - Florida Panthers
I expect an even game, but I have to give the edge to the better team. Florida wins!
Boston Bruins - Pittsburgh Penguins
The Bruins have struggled lately, and the Penguins are hot. But Boston are awesome and I feel this could go either way. Still, I will go with the hotter team here. Pittsburgh wins!
Vancouver Canucks - Ottawa Senators
The Senators are not to be taken for an easy prey. They are playing well, and they actually beat Toronto last night. But they do struggle to keep the puck out of their own net, and I think the Canucks have been playing really well lately, so I have to go with them. Vancouver wins!
Montreal Canadiens - Winnipeg Jets
The Habs have struggled lately, and now they face off against the hottest team in the division. The Jets have won all three meetings this season, and I favor them here too. Winnipeg wins!
Edmonton Oilers - Calgary Flames
I think the Oilers have looked quite bleak lately, even though they have managed to get some wins. McDavid is McAwesome as usual, and Draisaitl is producing, but the scoring depth behind these two just isn't there. Calgary on the other hand, have looked great since Sutter entered the booth. Can their strengthened defense stop the Oilers super duo? Hard to say, but I have to give the Flames the edge here. Calgary wins!
San Jose Sharks - Vegas Golden Knights
The Sharks are on quite a spell, but they have faced mostly teams from the bottom half lately. This will be a real test, and I don't think they will pass it. Vegas wins!
St Louis Blues - Los Angeles Kings
The Kings are stuck in Denver. Game postponed.
