Today instead of tonight, since the first games start earlier in the weekends.
Sooooo many games today! Here goes!
New Jersey - Buffalo
This one is really tricky. I think the teams are on par, but New Jersey has looked better than Buffalo after their respective "Covid breaks". I lean towards New Jersey winning.
Washington - NY Rangers
Washington are better, hands down. They win, that's it.
Colorado - Vegas
The two best teams in the division. They've won one each in the previous meetings. I think Colorado is the better team, and with Lehner out with injury, Fleury must be getting worn in net for Vegas. I say Colorado wins this one!
Detroit - Florida
Florida are too good for Detroit. Easy call, the Panthers win.
Montreal - Toronto
The two best teams in Canada face off for another brawl. I give Toronto the edge, but it could go either way.
Arizona - Los Angele
Los Angeles are hard to predict. They are very uneven. Two nights ago, the Kings won in a shootout, but I think the Coyotes will have their revenge in this game. Arizona wins.
Columbus - Nashville
Nashville has been miserable so far. Columbus are trending in the right direction, and I expect them to win.
Carolina - Tampa Bay
Carolina was supposed to play against Chicago, and Tampa Bay against Dallas, but since both of their opponents had to reschedule, the NHL made a brilliant move and faced these two up against eachother instead. Both teams have been great so far this season. Carolina won the first meeting, but I think Tampa Bay gets their revenge. Tampa wins!
Pittsburgh - NY Islande
This is a close matchup. Pitttsburgh won the last one. It's close but I think they win again.
St Louis - San Jose
The first game between these two was closer than expected. But St Louis are better than San Jose, and under normal circumstances, they will show it. St Louis wins.
Anaheim - Minnesota
Minnesota tends to win the games they are supposed to win. This is one of them. If Gibson is lights out, which he usually is, then maybe, maybe, Anaheim could have a chance. But the Ducks struggle with their scoring. I think Minnesota wins.
Edmonton - Calgary
Edmonton face off against Calgary for the second night in a row. In the first one, Edmonton won a close game, but they were the better team. Markström will probably play in net for Calgary, which gives them some edge over Edmonton, where Koskinen is likely to be the starter, but judging from how they looked last night, I'd say Edmonton wins again.
