The Penguins are hotter right now. A few weeks back I would have picked the Caps, but now, Pittsburgh wins.
Carolina Hurricanes - Tampa Bay Lightning
Tampa has finally started beating the Canes. I think they will continue doing so tonight. Tampa Bay wins!
Dallas Stars - Florida Panthers
The Stars won last night, but Khudobin was a big part in that. Oettinger starts tonight. He's a good goaltender too, but it's a downgrade. I think the Panthers will exact revenge tonight. Florida wins!
Chicago Blackhawks - Columbus Blue Jackets
As usual, the Blue Jackets are hard to predict. I could see this go any way, but I give the Blackhawks a slight edge, so I'll say that Chicago wins.
Calgary Flames - Ottawa Senators
Calgary have revived themselves after a streak of really poor performances. Rittich has been great in Markström's absence. Back to back game though for Calgary. How tired is Rittich? Still, playing even against Toronto says a lot. A few days ago, I would have given this one to the Senators, but now I say Calgary wins.
New Jersey Devils - Buffalo Sabres
Buffalo have done well against New Jersey, and they won the last game. This one could go either way, but I'll give the favor to the Sabres. Buffalo wins!
Nashville Predators - Detroit Red Wings
Nashville may not be at their best this season, but they are better than Detroit. Nashville wins!
Montreal Canadiens - Winnipeg Jets
The Canadiens fired Claude Julien the other day. Dominique Ducharme steps into the booth instead. Can he turn the tide? The Habs started out great this season, but they have slowly progressed in the wrong direction, and lost more and more games. I hold the Jets to be an underrated team, so I lean towards them tonight. Winnipeg wins!
Edmonton Oilers - Vancouver Canucks
The Canucks had the Oilers in the last game, but then they just blew it. There's talk about Miller being demoted to the third line for Vancouver, also. The Oilers have been great lately. I will not bet against them. Edmonton wins!
