The 2021-2022 NHL season starts tonight! Now will fully seated arenas, and a full 82 game season! I'm not sure if I will cover every game this season, and I for sure won't have time to analyze every game in detail. But I'll pick winners for tonight, and then we'll see how it carries on.

This season we welcome a new team to the league, the Seattle Kraken, for a total of 32. They will start against the division favorites, which will be a tough game for them, I think.

Before they face off, the reigning champions Tampa Bay Lightning will take on the Pittsburgh Penguins. The latter have their two top centers injured, so I see the Bolts as the clear favorite to win the season opener.
