New York Islanders - Washington Capitals
Another one of these. Been a few in a row now. These games have been even, but the Capitals have won most of them. They have more goal scorers, and that tend to decide such games. Washington wins!
Philadelphia Flyers - New Jersey Devils
The Devils were close in the last game, which was also between these two. But it was an outflier, they've been really poor ever since they traded off Zajac and Palmieri. They will be huge underdogs here. Philadelphia wins!
Buffalo Sabres - New York Rangers
The Sabres are not easy to play against right now, but the Rangers are better, they have a good trend, and they are trying to get closer to Boston and the last playoff spot. Luukkonen is supposedly starting for Buffalo. I'm not sure if he is much better or worse than Tokarski. Either way, I know what my pick is here. New York wins!
Boston Bruins - Pittsburgh Penguins
This is a great matchup. The last game was really good. With the Penguins eight wins in their last ten, and their awesome home record, it's obvious to go for them here though. Pittsburgh wins!
Detroit Red Wings - Columbus Blue Jackets
The Blue Jackets gave the Bolts a good fight for a couple of games, but they've done well against them all season long. Both teams are out of competition. with the Red Wings' recent form, their amazing work ethic, and with Bernier back and better than ever, they are my pick. Could be that they rest Bernier and put Greiss between the posts, but I still would pick them. Detroit wins!
Tampa Bay Lightning - Chicago Blackhawks
Tampa has won six out of seven against the Blackhawks. They have been struggling lately though, and the Blackhawks are fighting tooth and nail to stay in the playoff race. I don't think this is an easy win for the Bolts, but I still think they have the better chance here. Tampa Bay wins!
Florida Panthers - Nashville Predators
It was a good game last night, which was won by the Predators. I expect another good game, and I could see it go either way. I have to pick a winner though, and with the impressive performance last night, I'll go with the Preds. Nashville wins!
Carolina Hurricanes - Dallas Stars
This is also a back-to-back repeat meeting. Dallas won last night in overtime. They could definitely repeat, but I think that the Hurricanes will be out for blood, and they rarely lose two in a row. Carolina wins!
