Buffalo Sabres - New Jersey Devils
Two teams at the rock bottom here. Well, the Sabres are below rock bottom. This is their chance to finally get a win, but they way the looked against the Caps yesterday, I don't have much faith in them. The Devils will also see this as the chance to turn things around, and I have to give them the better chance here. New Jersey wins!
New York Islanders - Washington Capitals
From a game between two ice cold teams to a game between two steaming hot teams! The Islanders have won 9 straight games, and the Caps have looked great lately too. The Caps are playing back-to-back, which is to the advantage of the Islanders. Sure, the Sabres didn't give Washington that much of a fight, but it's still a game of wear and tear, where the Islanders had a night of rest. I think this one could go either way, but I'll let the disadvantage of having played last night decide it against the Capitals for me. NY Islanders wins!
Boston Bruins - Pittsburgh Penguins
The Bruins have lost five of their last ten in regulation, while the Penguins have won eight of their last ten. This is a back-to-back meeting between the two, and the Pens won last night. I think they are in the drivers seat for this one as well. Pittsburgh wins!
Carolina Hurricanes - Detroit Red Wings
While the Wings are not a joke, they are the weakest team in the division, and the Hurricanesare a candidate for being the best. Carolina wins!
Arizona Coyotes - Minnesota Wild
The Yotes can give any team a run for the money, but the Wild are just better this season, and I have to give them the favor here. Minnesota wins!
Tampa Bay Lightning - Dallas Stars
Tampa lost unexpectedly against the Preds last night, but they had McElhinney in net. Tonight, Vasilevsky should be back, and the Bolts should be out for revenge. I think the Stars will have to pay for Nashville's win yesterday. Tampa Bay wins!
Anaheim Ducks - Colorado Avalanche
So, the ducks win a game here and there, but I don't expect it to be here. The Avs are just an all out better team, and Gibson or Miller, whoever starts in net for the Ducks, will have to be absolutely lights out if this is going to be an even game. Colorado wins!
