New York Islanders - Boston Bruins
The Bruins are back after a brief Covid hiatus. How will this impact them? I'm not sure, I just know that the Islanders have won all four previous games. I have to go with them here. New York Islanders wins!
New York Rangers - Philadelphia Flyers
The Flyers have struggled lately, and the Rangers have been hot. Enough for me. New York Rangers wins!
New Jersey Devils - Washington Capitals
The Caps are hot, the Devils are not, and an overall weaker team. The Capitals are also four for four in these meetings. Washington wins!
Carolina Hurricanes - Columbus Blue Jackets
The Jackets have managed to grab shootout wins from the Habs lately, but I think the Habs are the better team, and that they will show it tonight. Carolina wins!
Toronto Maple Leafs - Ottawa Senators
The Senators won a couple of games in a row against the Flames, but that has been mostly due to some awesome goaltending by Filip Gustavsson, who was their 4th alternative when the season started. This being a back-to-back game, I expect Anton Forsberg will get the start here. The Leafs are a better team, and they are rested. Ottawa are definitely the underdogs. Toronto wins!
Buffalo Sabres - Pittsburgh Penguins
Buffalo... No. Pittsburgh wins!
St Louis Blues - Minnesota Wild
The first meeting between these two this season. The Wild have ten wins in a row at home. I lean towards that we will see an 11th here, but it's a close matchup. But... Minnesota wins!
Chicago Blackhawks - Florida Panthers
The Blackhawks finally got a win against the Panthers, but I expect that the latter will show that they are the better team tonight. Florida wins!
Detroit Red Wings - Nashville Predators
The Red Wings have given the Predators some problems in the previous games, but I still think the Preds are the better team and that they should have the better chance. They also just have to win if they want to give chase for the fourth spot. Nashville wins!
Tampa Bay Lightning - Dallas Stars
The Stars gave the Bolts a good fight last, but the latter proved too strong. I think they will do so here too. Tampa Bay wins!
Vegas Golden Knights - Colorado Avalanche
Here comes the heavyweight match we all have waited for! This time, both teams are steaming hot! I expect a close, intense and very fun game. I feel it could go either way, but with the Avs being so hot lately, I will go with them here. Colorado wins!
