This happened in India, India is a highly culture oriented society. People are taught to see teachers as god's.
Years ago A boy named V Vaidyanathan secured admission to India's prestigious BITS campus. But the boy didn't have money to participate in interview and pay other expenses. His then teacher Swarup Swani gave him Rs.500 , $7 approximately which was a fairly high amount at that time.
Vaidyanathan completed his education and had a successful career ever since. He searched for his teacher and was unable to find him since he got transferred from the job.
Recently Vaidyanathan who is the CEO and managing director of IDFC First Bank found out that his teacher is in Agra.

As a token of gratitude for supporting him he transferred 1 lakh equity shares of the bank from the shares he already acquired.
The bond between the student and teacher is something that will inspire many.
