Who else is REALLY investing in bitcoin/crypto?

By Hippos4ever | HipposR4ever | 20 Feb 2021

After all the recent hubbub about Elon fucking Musk, and other various tech giants as well as hedge fund managers/firms entering the crypto space it some times may seem that there are only those types interested in investing in investment in crypto. “Those types” being off the beaten path nerdy tech/financial guys looking to enter a new and emerging market.

And that stereotype might hold up true for the fallowing big investors I know of, however, I feel it shows a more underlining truth that people that are truly in connection with where man kind is heading as a spices, and less that they are finical geniuses or nerds, although, as stated I dunno, they could be, I don’t know these people.

So without further build up, what class of people am I talking about as investors?

Rappers, OBVI.

Yup, rap music artists.

For some reason (and I have my own thoughts which I will telegraph in a later post) rap artists really seem to be drawn to bitcoin, and the crypto currency space. It’s no secret that rap giants such as 50 cent, Kanye West and Jay-Z are involved in the bitcoin space, but after listening to other songs from different artists, I DO see more and more connections in lyric to crypto from more and more artists.

For example, rapper “Future” in his song “Tycoon” linked here, starts with the phrase.

”I been staring at a candle, feel the pain on me nigga it don’t matter, got my currency exchanged, got my bands up”

which to me, I take as him either monitoring in some way candle stick patterns either for traditional stocks, FOREX, or more likely with our age of investment (and the referenced control of assets) a crypto candle.

In another gem I recently discovered, the rapper “Big Sean” openly is speaking about crypto currency when he speaks in verse to say

“I turned my W’s into M’s yeah I flipped those, I might buy her red bottoms with tha crypto, 3 coins that could pay the whole semester, but she gotta ride me better than a teslaaaaaaa”

Another example is in Eminem’s song “Not Alike” Eminem says the phrase “Member everybody used to bite Nickel, Now everybody doin’ bitcoin”

In yet ANOTHER example, of rappers going “cray” for crypto, Akon has said openly he wants to build a whole city in Senegal, that would use a proprietary native token throughout the development. Which sounds crazy and ahead of its time to me, but that’s kinda how Akon rolls I guess.

In summary, I guess what I wrote this article for a 2 phased in reason.

1. I wanted to express just how popular crypto currency investment/interest has become in such a short time, after all, it’s only been a little over a decade.

and...

2. I wanted to make all my readers realize, the space isn’t just “Nerds” or “Chart Geeks”, we’re all cool as fuck, and everyone is finally starting to get it, and understand why crypto isn’t about a certain someone, it’s about everyone and for the benefit of everyone, and we should always feel lucky to be watching it unfold in front of us!

as always till next time, stay chill, and hodl strong 0x fam!

I will talk about (crypto) things that interest me, and I will try to make it as informative as possible. If it seems like a rant, it may be in some aspects, but I will try to make it a informative one.
