Bitcoin is often called an "anonymous" currency, but that's not really accurate.

Bitcoin transactions are public, meaning that anyone can see the sender, recipient, and amount of each transaction. However, the identities of the sender and recipient are not revealed unless they choose to reveal them. This is because Bitcoin addresses are pseudonymous (as opposed to anonymous), meaning that they do not directly identify the user.

There are a number of ways to increase the privacy of Bitcoin transactions. For example, some users choose to use a mixer, which is a service that mixes Bitcoin transactions together, making it more difficult to track the origin and destination of the funds. Other users may decide to use privacy-focused wallets, which don't store any personal information.

The level of privacy that a user has with Bitcoin depends primarily on their own privacy habits. If a user chooses to use a centralized exchange that requires KYC (Know Your Customer) information, then their identity will be linked to their Bitcoin transactions. However, if a user chooses to use a decentralized exchange or a privacy-focused wallet, then they might be able to maintain a higher level of privacy.

The choice between privacy and convenience is a personal one. For example, some users may be willing to sacrifice privacy for the convenience of using a centralized exchange. However, other users may be more concerned about their privacy and may choose to use a decentralized exchange or a privacy-focused wallet.

Ultimately, the decision of whether to prioritize privacy or convenience is up to each of us. However, it's important in my opinion to be aware of the trade-offs involved and to make an informed decision.
