Pi Node configuration

Note that this is an advanced section and is not intended for general users, so you may not need to understand and not read this section.

What is a Pi Node?

Nodes are the fourth role in the Pi ecosystem. Node will run on laptop or desktop computer instead of mobile phone. Similar to other blockchains, Pi Node will be responsible for validating transactions on a distributed ledger and solving the challenges of maintaining a decentralized currency by bringing all nodes to one User consensus in new transaction order is recorded.

--You can learn what Node is to gain more knowledge about Blockchain.
Unlike nodes that use a PoW consensus algorithm like Bitcoin or Ethereum, Pi Node uses different consensus algorithms based on the Stellar Consensus Protocol (SCP). In SCP, nodes form trusted groups and only agree to the transactions that trusted nodes agree on. The security circles aggregate into a global trust chart that allows the Pi Node to form delegates to determine who can and cannot validate transactions on the ledger.

Node levels

There are currently three levels of engagement for pioneers to install Pi Node on their computers.

Computer application: Computer application refers to the use of Pi App interface on desktop. It allows pioneers who want to interact with the Pi application from their computers, so it has the same functionality as a mobile application.

Node: Node means that the Pioneer access the node interface, complete the necessary technical preparation based on the instruction, and turn on / off the node interface so that their computer is available to run the blockchain component. after being selected as a node. Although they are not involved in consensus, they verify the validity of the blockchain and send transactions to be recorded on the blockchain. In the future, when good Pi blockchains expand rather than ledger security, the Node will expand to include computers that contribute to the network's common hardware resources, such as computing, storage, and bandwidth. .

Super Node: SuperNode is the backbone of the Pichain Blockchain. They are responsible for reaching an algorithm-based consensus to write the correct transaction on the Pi ledger, in addition to all the responsibilities a node performs. They are also responsible for ensuring the SuperNodes and other Nodes receive the latest state of the blockchain. SuperNode also uses the node interface and was originally selected by the Core Team. They need to be connected to a 24/7 network and have reliable internet connection.

What is becoming a Pi Node?

When making a Pi Node, you will need a dedicated computer or device, running the Pi software 24/7 and 365 days non-stop to authenticate and protect Pi's blockchain network. This is quite damaging to your devices. Currently we have not found any benefits so that users can install Pi Node software on their computers. More information will be added.

How to draw Pi?

You cannot withdraw the Pi. You will be able to withdraw your Pi or exchange Pi for other currencies during Phase 3 of the project, when Pi switches to a completely decentralized blockchain.

Phase 1 of Project Pi is on March 14, 2019 (Pi Day). In Stage 1, your balance is being recorded to wait for the day Pi reaches the mainnet (Phase 3). The transfer or withdrawal of Pi is restricted until the mainnet launch, to prevent fraudulent actions, such as clone the account users to dig Pi, then transfer Pi to another account and legalize the process verify your account and use that nefarious Pi number.

Should you dig Pi on multiple phones?

No, you SHOULD NOT dig PI on many devices. Pi Network adheres to a strict rule, meaning that only one account can be used per person. Pi Network uses a multi-pronged strategy to ensure that fake accounts cannot exploit Pi.

First, the Pi network uses Google Recaptcha v3 to know which devices are operated by humans or robots. (This technology is completely invisible to most users, because they are real people, but robots can see the captcha if the google algorithm captures them.) Over time, Pi Network is developing a machine learning algorithm based on actual user exploitation behavior to predict bots.

Secondly, requiring the Pi consensus algorithm (security circle) to help easily detect fake accounts. The fake account will not have enough real people to link to them through the security circle. Thus fake accounts will have less linkage with the rest of the network. This anomaly is easy to detect with computer algorithms.

Finally, when Pi enters Stage 3 and 4 - Mainnet, only authenticated accounts can exist.

Where to buy and sell Pi?

Currently, there is only 1 exchange, AACoin listed PI (https://www.aacoin.com/trade/PI_USDT) in the form of short purchase and sale, meaning that they buy and sell PI but do not actually own any PI. Because PIs have not been withdrawn until entering phase 3 (mainnet), all PI trading platforms are fraudulent. The Pi Core team also issued a warning. In addition, users should not buy and sell Pi transactions on the black market through the sale of accounts, because all of us have not been able to price Pi, so there are many potential risks.
