Change Your Life Now for the Better!!! "But how?" you ask.....please read on - Technique #1

Hello There!

I'm honored that you would take the time to stop by and read my article. You are here because something in your life has prompted you to make a change in your piece of the world. There are a number of things that could be the driving force of this momentous decision. It could be that you're feeling stagnant in your life, going from one mundane task to another. Maybe everyday you dread waking up knowing you have to go to a job that you loathe and you're deciding whether to call in sick or simply quit. There are so many reasons why, but the question is.....HOW? How can I make a significant change in my life?

Let's get to it....shall we ;) For the the next couple of articles I will tackle the topic of.....How Does One Change Their Life?

Today we begin with...drum roll please.........YOU have to look within yourself!

Yes...yes....yes....I know that sounds cliche, but it's a cliche for a reason and simply put it's true.

We have between 25,000 to 50,000 thoughts a day and about 70% of them are from our subconscious. Just imagine 70% of our thoughts dictate how we react on a daily basis. They have been programmed in our minds since we were younglings (yes, I know you loved that Star Wars reference) They are based on our values,  the environment we grew up in, the people that surrounded us all throughout our lives like our parents and friends, outside factors like social media and the likes of all that. All of these factors shape and form our subconscious mind.

Unfortunately, most of our thoughts are negative. Now I'm not saying ALL our thoughts are negative. For example.....if someone gives you a compliment.... "You look beautiful/handsome today." What was your initial reaction? Did you find yourself almost contradicting the compliment that was given to you? Did you have to quickly correct and say to yourself..."Hey you are one handsome human being that was very kind of them" Maybe your reaction was not negative and you were open to the kind statement, then that my friend is AWESOME! Granted everything is situational, but I just wanted to give a simple example.

Be aware of your thoughts. Sure...sounds easy, right? We can take into account our conscious mind...but what about our subconscious thoughts,....(as I say the next part with a deep voice)....found underneath the surface to the deep recesses of our minds. How do we control that? Gosh! Simple....you can't control it, BUT....as I finally get to the meat and potatoes of the whole article......you can RE-TRAIN your brain, but how? you ask! I have a couple exercises that I like to do....myself....on the daily.

1st one - HUUGGGE one - Do AFFIRMATIONS every single day...simply just do it! You Got This!

"Okay?!?, but why should I?"....as you say this with a quizzical look on your face.

Here's my answer....In anything you want to master....what do you do?.....I know you're thinking about it....well you can stop because here is the answer....you practice, practice, practice....it's all about repetition. What is the saying that everyone told you since you were a wee little laddie (said with a Scottish accent) or lady, "Practice Makes Perfect!".  So.....that means you have to do your affirmations every single day.

Now...Here's how I do mine :D.....

I use multiple medias of how I do my affirmations.

1.) I write my affirmations out, multiple times a day. I do mine at least twice, more would be awesome though ;) There is this amazing synchronicity that one has when we write something from pen to paper. That feeling when you write stays with you throughout the day. Now imagine doing that every single day, it will stay with you longer. As you're writing those kick-ass affirmations (pardon the language), you have to be present and feel all the feels of the statement in that moment.  Don't just simply write out the affirmations like it's  a chore...scribble, scribble, scribble...Write it out with all the emotions surrounding it. At the end of this article I'll share my marvelous affirmations with ya'll to get you started <3

2.) Create a Visual representation of your affirmations! She said what? Make a pretty picture, poster, painting...dare I say mural of your affirmations. You can keep it simple or make it an epic masterpiece. Either way the idea is to be able to see your affirmations. Also don't just place it in one location....put it in your bathroom, place it in the kitchen, pretty much use any wall space that you are looking at most times of the day. When you see it, I want you to also say them out loud with feeling. You should feel it coursing through your entire body when you recite your powerful affirmations. This is a beautiful visual reminder that you my friend are one AWESOME human being!

3.) So far we've used multiple senses to re-train our subconscious; touch, sight, and sound. Now we venture more in depth with the sense; sound. Listen to your affirmations. You can record your own or listen to one that was previously prepared. There are several great affirmation videos and audios that you can listen to for free. DTube and YouTube are great places to start. Search "affirmation" or "I Am Affirmations". Once again while you're listening to them be in the moment and completely immerse yourself in the emotions that the affirmations evoke. I also recommend listening to them while you are sleeping. While you slumber, you are not distracted by any outside force that your daily regimen throws at you. Your body is at rest. Your mind is clear to absorb all the positive affirmations that you are bringing into your system.

When you first start it will be challenging in the beginning, but don't give up. For some people it can take days, months, or even years till they see a significant change. For me it took about a week till I noticed a shift in my perspective. So continue to do your affirmations every day. With each day it will become easier to point where it feels natural. You will notice that your outlook on how you view the world and most importantly yourself will change. I'm so excited for you and I can't wait to see how this technique will change your life.

(I have this printed out on several pieces of paper in fun bright colors. I put it in my bathroom, near my desk, kitchen, etc.)

Note: Remember to feel all the good and positive vibes as you read and say aloud these affirmations!
