Howdy! Been some time since I've last posted in this space. Truth be told, I've found greener pastures beyond what Publish0x could offer, but in the ensuing years, I noticed I still get some views trickling from somewhere around the webs funneling right into my referral link on Freebitco.in.
With a bit of digging around, it appears that it's either coming from my Bitcointalk signature link (which is honestly unlikely), OR its coming from my handful of Publish0x posts. According to the statistics, my articles on here do get a couple of views, highest of which is 9 views on the daily.
The Report
A little bit about myself. I've been using Freebitco.in since 2017, but only started taking the whole referral thing seriously in the last 2 years, and the sort of demographic I was targeting were the die-hard Bitcoin gamblers. Particularly the ones with a debilitating addiction. The problem is that, with basically no meaningful following to speak of, it gets pretty grueling trying to break into this referral/affiliate/commission industry, but there are way to get around.
Of those ways, The Bitcointalk forums were my go-to, as they had a dedicated section to gambling, primarily through Bitcoin. This was THE ideal space to promote my link in, and the best thing about it is that there are no restrictions on signature links, meaning every time you post, the link is automatically appended to your post, visible to everyone. This is very much unlike a lot of the gambling forums/spaces out there with strict controls on affiliate links.
But what's really the objective behind putting my signature links out there? This may sound like a stupid question with a simple answer, but the goal behind this is to get as many views on your links, not sign-ups, as much as possible. This is why my motivation has sustained as long as it did, even when I saw basically no progress for the first couple of months. Switching my focus from sign-ups to views as the metric to keep my eyes on drastically improved my drive. This is the golden principle every aspiring affiliate should keep in mind. Views and exposure WILL eventually lead to sign-ups.
Then one day, on a sunday night, by some grand miracle, I had managed to score a prolific gambler. Hallelujah.
Just to give you an idea of how incredibly rare it is to filter through someone so prolific, they were willing to drop, at one point in time, almost $6K worth of bitcoin per month, I had to have gotten at least 500 sign ups. Which is what the legends of Freebitco.in have told me to attain before expecting to score someone really invested into gambling.
Guys, I had just 23 signs ups, most of which were duds just looking around before quitting. This is insane.
