This is about deep security checking. we all know that the safe way to store cryptocurrency is by using a #hardware #wallet. now after doing some research, we found out many problems about hardware wallet. and by examining problems. we find out that some problems are caused by tampering. and some are caused by hardware wallets are pre-configured also there is this phishing thing. and the main bad thing about it. is that the prey of this hackers/scammers are those individuals that is new to the #cryptocurrency space. which is bad for crypto adoption. most of them victim just had average knowledge of tech. that's why they fall easy prey for cyber criminals.

When we bought our hardware wallet, it came with good packaging, but again. being a security paranoid, after checking the hardware and connecting it to the computer ledger-live software. had it checked and it is verified legit from the ledger-live software. But we take into extra step of security, well after all, they say in crypto that #We are our own #bank. and so being our own bank. we take security at a highest level. so we checked the PCB inside the ledger. opening the ledger. then went to the official ledger website and search for the PCB pictures and confirmed it. and also checked if there are additional micro chips soldered inside the ledger. if there is. then you know that your ledger hardware wallet is bugged.  like this below.

there is a hack called F00dbabe, where a hacker can modify the boot-loader of a ledger nano. so to avoid this kind of hack. update the firmware of the ledger to the latest. also there is an option to check the legitimacy of the ledger wallet inside the ledger-live software (NOTE: download ledger-live only at the official ledger website to make sure there is no Trojan or malware of the software.)
