Godzilla vs Kong. Lizard vs Monkey. Atomic breath vs.... Angry ape noises? 

Kaiju fans the world over know who won the first time these monsters met. Kong was King, Godzilla defeated. Diehard Kaiju fans will still be trying to recover from this fact. The King of the Monsters was robbed and the giant monkey wandered off to eat bananas and fling feces. 

What an abomination. 

In 2021, the two giants face off again. In 2021, Hollywood has the chance to right the wrongs of the past. Godzilla must win. He has the atomic breath and the nuclear pulse. At this point, he has already been shown defeating his toughest opponent (King Ghidorah). What does Kong have? What have we seen from him? Realistically, he's just a big monkey with no special powers. Unless something happens at the start of this film, Kong is going to be lit up like a Christmas tree in the first ten minutes. 

There's also the potential that the two wind up teaming up against a bigger threat, a la Batman v Superman. Fans have noted potential indications of MechaGodzilla in the teasers so far released. If this is the case, I'd still prefer to see Kong ripped to shreds first. Maybe he'll have time to utter out a "save Martha" before the finale. We'll see.
